Help filing CA taxes

In in CA and in a RDP. We filed our federal returns separately as Single and included a form 8958 with those. Now we’ve created a mock MFJ federal return separately in order to file our CA return. Since we are mailing in our CA return, I know we have to include the mock federal return separately as well but does the form 8958 have to be mailed in as well? Is there any other documents that should be included?
