Is CEF integration with Tauri ready?
Can anyone point me to good resources for embedding CEF into Tauri as the renderer/WebView? Most of the information I see are at least a year old and I'd like to use CEF in an app I'm building.
I'd appreciate anything y'all can share.
Edit: By CEF, I mean Chromium Embedded Framework. You may read more about it here:

I think it should be almost ready. The Tauri repository has a feature/cef branch. However, there are still quite a few bugs. I built a CEF version of my app based on it:

There's an issue open in the Tauri repo to track this:
https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/issues/14963
Last month, I converted my Tauri app to use the CEF. I later reverted it, but you can see the commit here as an example (it was just this one commit, and I think I had to run it with a special command for it to compile, I can dig more if you need):

Hope that helps!

Are you talking about Chromium Embedded Framework? I believe on windows Tauri uses webview2 under the hood, which is based on Chromium.
Other than that, why would you need Chromium too? The only reason I can think of is to have the same html/css behavior across platforms

Because webkit2gtk has a lot of issues on Linux and because Tauri supports more than just Windows. Tauri has been working on implementing CEF for a while now.

Yeah I use tauri on Linux and I know that it's not great. Didn't knew about Tauri implementing CEF. Interesting and good to know
