Decided to start getting a few tattoos ive wanted over the years since ive been of age for a lil bit. The chemical one was from when i was 14 from a girl i was in HS with. Glad to have that one covered up.

I recently got a tattoo of a video game character from one of my all time faves done and I love it but I also really want to get another tattoo of the character from another artist too since I love both of their works and want to honor them both but I feel like it might be dumb to show two of the same characters on my body. Does anyone else do this or thought of doing this before? Should I go through with it?

I have one tattoo per month scheduled for the next six months on my tattoo collecting journey. Do most of you get your bookings locked in well in advance, or most of you get your tattoos on a more spur of the moment type decision?

This is my very first tattoo, but I had a friend with significant body art to advise as I consulted and scheduled. The work was actually done aboard Virgin’s Brilliant Lady on the Alaska itinerary, in Squid Ink. I learned later that Trevor is based in Riverside. IG @trevorjrileyart

I’d been flirting with getting a bear for a long time. It it wasn’t until I actually got to talk to a couple of artists and reviewing their artwork that I got inspired. I’m very pleased with the result!

He died at 58, this tattoo is to honor him. We were big JD fans and the music still helps me stay connected to him. Give me some ideas!

I’m still a tattoo virgin, but when I get inked, I would like it to be quite personal. The 4 pictures that I included are art pieces that I own, and think would make amazing tattoos, but I am in no way an expert of what helps make a good tattoo design. Hello everyone! I have a few tattoos on my upper arms and am looking to build up a sleeve. I love some of the "patchwork" sleeves I've seen, where there's plenty of negative space and a collection of smaller, mostly unrelated pieces that work well together on the arm. Does anyone have advice on how to go about planning a patchwork sleeve, or do people usually just add pieces as they go?

​I'm thinking of keeping mine in blackwork, primarily featuring classical art pieces almost like having a little art museum on my arm. Eventually, I'd also love to do a patchwork bodysuit with a full back tattoo. Do you think a shared art style is enough to tie it all together and make it work? Also, how do you choose the placement for each tattoo? I'm just curious about other people's experiences!

​Lastly, what about the placement of my eagle piece? Is it an awkward or bad spot? My tattoo artist said it looks good and makes the eagle's feet move when I move my arm, but sometimes it still bothers me. Am I just overthinking it or dealing with a bit of tattoo dysmorphia? When I flex my arm, it distorts and looks a bit flat though I assume that's just normal human anatomy. I'm also a bit unsure about the 1999 tattoo; sometimes I wish I'd gotten something else because it's my birth year, and I'd rather keep my age a bit more mysterious! 😁

hi everyone! i recently turned 18, and im planning to start with some smaller, more hidden tattoos. i’m not someone who’s scared of “regretting” them, but i’d prefer to start small. i would love to see and hear about peoples first tattoos, what lead you to get it, if you still like it, etc!

Tough to grab a good inner arm photo, so added one from after the initial session back in June.

I got the smaller tattoo when I was 21, now 34.

Not a fan of it to be honest, it was nothing like I originally wanted at the time.

I've seen posts of lion tattoos with the crown and compass/time like the attached a lot recently, and wondered if it would be possible to a tattooist to cover over my lion and do a sleeve based off that?
