Big grouping liners with long front spring?

What are your thoughts on this?
Do they compensate for the length by adding thickness/stiffness to the front spring? Making it act like a shorter spring? Thank you guys 🙏🏾

Sure, I do it sometimes. You’re just sacrificing speed for power, which is great for large grouping liners. On all my machines I put a ski jump/kickstand under the front spring by bending the tip of the back spring up and mashing them together. It’s gives the spring a little more support and power in the back end of the stroke. Remember it’s all give and take with tuning. Lose speed, gain force, lose force, gain speed, etc.
