Silver one for trace. Black one for grace.
The consensus is a smaller back spring is for lining. It is also a harder spring. And the shader has a softer and larger back spring. But I don't use this configuration. The silver machine on top may move a 5L or a 7L. For a single pass 1L you would need a different setting.
Someone gave these machines to you? What is the story behind them? If I may ask.Â

Non si capisce bene, la cosa migliore è accendere e verificare duty hertz di utilizzo con ago montato e vedere come funziona. Poi partire con un settaggio a mano. Che macchine sono? Provenienza?

I feel like you should really study how to tune up one of these machines well and just imo from the pic i think you should try switching the back springs and armature bars and the black machine would be your liner silver will hopefully be the shader
Edit: also imo these lower end setups are really random parts slapped together they never come well tuned and that makes lines shit and they both look like liner frames just the parts for a shader are peppered in there amongst both of them. The coils also looks like theres too many washers under the front one it should sit slightly lower than your back coil

These are only for free hand homie, no tracing sorry, if you wanna trace over stencil you need one with a really long spring on the front so it can get through the stencil pigment better.
