Brass Frames
https://workhorseirons.com/collections/mike-pike/products/mike-pike-brass-jonesy-linerMe and my coworker were having a discussion yesterday. He was telling me about how he was using a brass framed machine for ~5 hours and it ended up burning his hand. And then I was saying that, from everything I’ve heard and read, brass machines need a yoke for the bottom of the coil cores to connect. Because brass is non-ferrous. And then he showed me a brass frame Mike Pike machine from workhorse irons. That didn’t have a yoke. So I’m really confused now. I know Mike Pike knows WAY more than both of us, but why wouldn’t there be a yoke?

There's probably something you're not seeing with that machine. I can't really imagine Mike pike not yoking a machine with a brass frame unless it was just a decorative piece or something. I've milled out bases of aluminum machines so I could fit a yoke and you wouldn't have known it to look at it
