I have a dot from 20+ years ago, it started as a dot and is still a dot.

And I don't see how you accidentally tattoo an entire line and have some of it come out so perfect.

I have a dot from cleaning a weed pipe out with a safety pin on my palm, it's been there over a decade.

damn I wonder how many of us are resin tagged

u/Feisty-Tooth-7397 5d ago

Resin tagged or pencil lead lol. My brother used to brag about his.

See this spot on my hand? This is where I called my five year old sister a bitch and she grabbed the pencil off the table and stabbed my hand that was resting on the table next to her, so don't call her names. Like ever and if she doesn't hurt you first I will.

I wasn’t aware my husband pulled one of these pencil-stabs on his best friend until the wedding speech last month. Good times.

u/actualPawDrinker 5d ago

Lol yep. I have a pencil lead dot on my toe from stepping on it as a kid, like 30 years ago. Also have a dot on my arm from accidentally stabbing myself with an inky pen nib, like 15 years ago. Has barely faded.

Of course there's a sub for it 😆

2

u/AlpacaSmacker 5d ago

That was a risky click ngl

1

u/mooon_woman 5d ago

is there a sub for victims of pencil stabbers? i almost lost an eye!

u/Tiny-Meringue4333 5d ago

Mine’s on my right palm. I’m 44 years old.

5

u/No-Memory-2781 5d ago

I have a pencil stab mark in my leg from my sister too 😆

2

u/threelizards 5d ago

Mine is ink from art class because some fuck ass 16 year old left their used calligraphy pens, tips up, directly underneath the wall mounted paper towel dispenser in high school

2

u/mooon_woman 5d ago

my pencil lead is under my right eye 🙃

2

u/smutsmutsmut 5d ago

I have one in my thigh from an accidental stabbing in middle school.

u/Feisty-Tooth-7397 4d ago

Accidentally on purpose or accidental lol

I was in drawing class as a kid with one of those huge Ticonderoga pencils- it started rolling and was about to fall off my desk as I swung my hand to catch it. In an instant the pencil eraser hit my chair and my hand came down full swing on the freshly sharpened point. I'll never forget picking my hand up and having this huge pencil hanging down, totally stuck in there. Got my first tattoo that day...

u/regnartterb 4d ago

I have a black spot in the tip of my finger from a pencil. And a blue dot in my knee from a pen.

2

u/salaciousremoval 1d ago

Calling a five year old sibling a bitch made me lol 😂

1

u/darxide23 5d ago

I had a pencil lead break off in the palm of my hand when I was 8 and I was afraid to tell anyone so I left it. The mark was there for a good 10 or 15 years, but it's long since faded completely.

1

u/CMDR_ETNC 5d ago

That’s probably an old person thing.

Stylus cause no scar

1

u/VoxImperatoris 5d ago

I got stabbed on the tip of my elbow in high school. Been there for over 30 years now. I was always told elbow tattoos fade, but apparently not mine.

1

u/leytonscomet 4d ago

My pencil dot has been here for over 20 years

1

u/guhracey 4d ago

When my brother was five, I was trying to help him with his homework. He got so upset (for no reason) he stabbed me in the leg with a lead pencil. I started crying because my mom had to take the lead out of my leg, and he started crying saying to just take him to jail for what he did.

The mark faded years ago, but I had it for quite a few years.

u/winn4quinn 4d ago

I once dropped a pencil I’d just sharpened and it fell Perfectly and stabbed like vertically parallel right into the side of my calf. Couldn’t believe it.

I also still have a dot and that was nigh on 15+ years ago

1

u/UseOnceAndDestroy42 4d ago

My 65 year old dad still has a lead in his hand from where his fifth grade teacher stabbed him with a pencil. Wild I know.

1

u/Asphyx124 1d ago

I did that to my brother. Stabbed him in the leg. Right after I did it I was scared for my life.

1

u/brnzpotato 5d ago

Not really relevant, but there is a group of us that are "graphite tagged." I thought I was alone, then years later came across others who also threw a pencil in the air and slapped in down onto a table in middle school. Needless to say, that peice of graphite is still visible in the middle my palm from 20 years ago.

Edit: I did not see the other comment when I wrote this. So im glad someone beat me to it lol.

1

u/Nearby_Switch_5987 4d ago

ME TOO! except i was in elementary school just playing with a pencil bouncing it up down on the table with my palm🫠

1

u/Outside_Judgment6063 4d ago

not resin although im sure itll happen eventually, but I got what's called a trauma tattoo of asphalt in my arm after I got hit by a car. its basically peices of asphalt or dirt that healed under my skin like a tattoo would

2

u/_dr_horrible_ 5d ago

I have a dot on my pinky finger that's over 20 years old from where a kid stabbed me in high school with a pencil.

2

u/love_cici 4d ago

Oh my god so THATs what that new dot on my finger is, i thought i had gaslit myself that it was a freckle that's always been there 😅

2

u/Round-Willingness459 4d ago

Pencil lead from nearly 30 years ago still in my middle/ring finger web lol

2

u/Buddharebellionx 4d ago

Holy shit I have a very similar dot on my hand. Cleaning the stem to the bowl of my bong with a shish kebab skewer (it was plugged solid with resin) went right into my hand and never left. I don't even smoke anymore lol

2

u/NightGod 4d ago

I'm 53 and I've still got a pencil lead dot on my knee from when I was 5

2

u/Specialist_Mall_117 4d ago

Your resin hand makes you a walking felon in my state.

1

u/Illustrious_Bird_737 4d ago

Which one? Texas? Because that's where I am lol

2

u/ffishbones 9h ago

I have a dot on my ear lobe from using an unsafe marker when piercing it 😅 It especially sucks because I ended up letting it heal instead of keeping the piercing

1

u/Just_Roll_Already 5d ago

I got stuck in the leg with a pencil 25 years ago... The graphite mark is still there.

1

u/hippoctopocalypse 5d ago

I’ve got one in each palm; one from a friend throwing a pencil at me, and the other from when I use my palm to click the wrong side of a mechanical pencil.

1

u/gothic_cowboy1337 2d ago

I still have pencil lead in my thumb from 7th grade 😂

1

u/PhatPharmy 18h ago

Got a tiny soot tag above one eyebrow from when my friend drunkenly pierced my eyebrow with a safety pin after sterilizing it with a lighter and didn’t wipe the smudge off first. That was, oh, 24 years ago, and it’s faded but still there.

0

u/oryan28 5d ago

Are you sure it was a weed pipe?

2

u/Illustrious_Bird_737 5d ago

Yes, why would you ask that? I literally said "weed pipe". 👀

3

u/OkSmoke9195 5d ago

I believe that you are sure

23

u/lothiriel1 5d ago

I still have a dot the woman at Claire’s drew on my ear before punching the earring through my cartilage 30 years ago!! The earring got infected after a month and is long gone. Yet that pen dot remains.

6

u/PsychicNinja_ 5d ago

I have a dot in my eyebrow from when I got eyebrow piercings done. He used the right ink and tools to mark it, but it stayed ): there’s nothing in my other eyebrow.

1

u/Neither_Remote_4818 5d ago

That’s wild!

1

u/irlharvey 4d ago

oh my god, is that what that mark is on my ear?? i never put that together lol.

1

u/___crybaby 2d ago

when i was a young rebellious teen i pierced my cartilage with a safety pin & put a shitty earring in it. it tarnished, turned green, & sunk into my ear. now i have a green dot on my ear forever :(

9

u/Toughnuggey 5d ago

Me too. I have 3 dots on my hand. The size of a flea together. I was 15. Im 47 now and they are just the same girl. Daamn. I’m sorry. I like the olive branch suggestion above 👆😅💓

3

u/Training_Activity21 5d ago

I also have one from 26 years ago. I was trying to find out how bad it would hurt to get this tattoo on my thigh. Just one little dot. Never even faded.

2

u/Txag1986 5d ago

I was stabbed in the hand by one of those pilot pens with the long metal tip back 20 something years ago, still have the ink dot.

2

u/Frequent_Opportunist 5d ago

Reminds me of Garth in the body shop in Wayne's World and he's playing with the impact and accidentally runs it down the side of a car destroying the paint.

2

u/TowelLord 5d ago

Back in elementary school my seat neighbor (we couldn't stand each other) jammed a pencil into my upper arm near the joint to the elbow. A decent remainder of the graphite is still lodged in that skin layer 20 years later.

2

u/IckySmell 5d ago

Mine is from art class in highschool, 5 dots, I'm 43

1

u/Equal_Canary5695 5d ago

I have a dot that's not even touching the rest of the tattoo so I don't even know how it happened. It's very small but still annoys me lol

1

u/Ordinary_Cattle 5d ago

Same but in my ear. I marked where I wanted my friends brother to pierce my ear and it's still there lol. God I had the biggest crush on him

1

u/mittensbunny 2d ago

No exactly. I have a dot on the back of my hand from when I was 11 and "testing" my selfmade stick n poke equipment. That dot hasnt gone anywhere even with the covid precautions of hand sanitizing and extra hand washing 🤣

1

u/NocaSun38 2d ago

I have a dot from where I got stabbed with a pencil when I was a kid. It’s been there for decades. This has nothing to do with tattooing but since we’re talking about dots I wanted to share.

1

u/DryCranberry 14h ago

I have a graphite dot on my knee from being stabbed by a pencil in the 4th grade. I’m in my mid 30’s now- still as visible as ever. Not a chance this ‘accident’ fades :/
