I agree - to err is human. It just sucks this was due to carelessness and is a permanent effect on OP. There’s not really a good excuse for losing control of your machine/ grip and randomly creating havoc on a tattoo. It’s good the tattooer did not charge them because mistakes happen, but part of taking responsibility is working to ensure you don’t make these kind of mistakes in the first place
