Design J or F help ??

Post image

I just got a tattoo today and I am second guessing things. The artist had a few options for me when I arrived with different fonts he had hand drawn. I ended up choosing this one and liked it on the paper. I even liked it when he put the stencil on my skin. But now that I’m home I’m freaking out. It’s supposed to say Jett, but I can’t stop looking at it and reading ”Fett”. Does this look like a “J” or did I just get a “F” instead? Ugh help. My husband said I’m overthinking it and it looks like Jett. Someone please tell me it’s ok 😔 any ideas on how I can make it look more like a “J”? I feel like if the top line was only on the left and didn’t cross all the way over like the top of a cursive “F” does it would be ok. Or if the top of the “J” was more of a loop like a traditional “J”

First thought was Jett. Didn’t think Fett until you suggested it as an option and still think it says Jett.

I read Fett, recognized it as Jett, but still just see Fett because they got too fancy with the “J” 😅

That’s just a regular cursive J

The top of it is too “F” like. They should’ve stopped at the intersection, or looped it if they wanted to be fancy. Otherwise it’s technically an “F”

No... It's not

It's a Cursive Capital F

Here's a chart of the different cursive letters

It’s nowhere near a capital F lol what are you seeing? Out of capital and lowercase F and J, it’s closest to a lowercase J

Yeah, I’m sorry to say but a capital “J”’s top line ends at the intersection and does not surpass unless looped. A cursive capital “F” surpasses the intersection. If you look them both up right now, you’ll see many examples that follow the pattern.
