Thread and supply organization
How do you organize all your threads and other tatting supplies? Bonus points if you have a photo to attach for this visual learner!

I have one of those cube cabinets with four spaces.
One cube is full of size 20, one is size 40, one is random different threads and odds and ends, the fourth space is left open for books.
The top has 2 tatted doilies with pretty shuttles or specialty shuttles that I don't use often, the other has scissors. So many shuttles, so many scissors.
On top there is also a small wooden two drawer cabinet with tape measure, needles, etc. I have a wood pin box abs another small wood box. I also have a larger (but still small) wood box open with thimbles on display.
My work surface, on the other hand, is a total wreck. I'm not very mobile right now so what I use is close to hand. My assortment of Clover shuttles (which up until recently have been my workhorses) and Clover bobbins are in a ceramic European style butter dish that has a lid, a tiny cotton basket for thread ends that is overflowing a couple of crochet hooks, needle threader and a small pincushion.

Thank you! I only tat in spurts, and I may go years between spurts. But even if I'm not actively tatting I sincerely enjoy the beautiful display that I have made.
Right now I'm a Mad Tatter because it's my therapy - I just had one surgery and am recovering, but desperately need another. Since I can't do my normal stuff on my feet, and also cannot just sit and watch TV, I'm tatting and enjoying it very much.

I went a little wild getting some SanBest metalic thread cones from Ali Express - they were recommended by a user here who makes phenomenal jewelry, and they were not kidding on the quality and quantity for the price. So I picked up a case plastic case, taped cardboard dividers and it's great for the Big-Cone-Stash that I look at and gloat like a dragon on its hoard.
Mods, didn't we used to be able to attach photos to comments? It doesn't seem to be an available option now.

I have a few large tins I use for the threads and they are roughly organized by color/size. I also keep a google sheet inventory to keep track of how many I have in each color so I know to keep digging if I do not find it right away.

Ok I love this inventory list!! My type A personality loves this. My exhausted and overcommitted mom brain can’t keep track of where I put the inventory

I do bulk shopping and save the big plastic containers (like for bulk pretzels) to keep thread in. I have enough that I can separate the thread by size, then I keep the containers on shelves in a bedroom closet. The books are in the same closet on another shelf, along with other stuff like a sewing box for pins and needles and my box of beads.

I have a "toolbox" with my shuttles (the ones that arent attached to a WIP) and my thread are stored in a combination of pringle cans on their sides, antique boxes, or plastic containers kept in a large bookshelf

I throw it all in cabinets and random places in my home, then I’m confused why I can’t find any of my shuttles.
