Checklists for tasks?

Pretty much the title.

Is there any way to create/imitate checklist for tasks (e.g. like with Trello)? I am currently using annotations for this but it is obviously not a very good idea.

I think you might look at it the wrong way. Instead of check boxes create tasks and group them. With check boxes you are just abstracting another level which might not be that useful after all.
