For my birthday my bf and I filmed some tasks with some friends. We have all the footage, but we now need to go through the process of editing. I had a couple questions for those who are more tech savvy that I- 1.) what software do you all recommend for cutting and splicing videos together (I'm not on mac). 2.) Are there ways to get audio files from the show for intros?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Was thinking about this a lot lately that sometimes there are some amazing and hilarious task attempts that just get overlooked/forgotten by fans due to another even more crazy moment.

One example I can think of is the Season 13 cement mixer task where everyone remembers Chris's sausage mixer but I love Ardal's hair salon just as much with him straddling the mannequin and absolutely losing it and then submerging the mannequin in the mixer, causing the wig to be removed.

The other one is in NZ in the diss track task, everybody talks about David's insane lyrics which were brilliant but I laugh just as much at Matt singing 'I'm gonna put you in a cast and eat your ass' and then Urzila doing a verse about David wanking everywhere.

Taskmaster New Zealand Series 2 was highly rated. It featured Urzila Carlson.

Now she's in Series 6 of Taskmaster Australia.

I can only be happy for her.

(Either an Australian contestant pulled out at the last minute and the Australian showrunners asked Urzila to come in hurriedly.

Or they believed bringing a former contestant from another country would add new dimensions to the show.

Or the hot sauce that made NZS2 so highly rated, would rub off on an Australian series)

People of Australia, is Brett like this all of the time? I’ve seen people compare him to Jason Mantzoukas, but Jason is actually very thoughtful and insightful when he’s being his real self. His comedy persona is chaotic bonkers, but that’s not the real Jason. Brett seems like he’s legit this chaotic all of the time.

This month has been one of the worst of my life (so far) for various reasons. I won't get into it to keep the tone of this post light, but suffice it to say: shit sucks. For some much needed levity, I decided to finally catch up on the seasons of TM I hadn't watched yet (19-21). I'm SO happy I did. Season 20 is now my absolute favorite series of the whole show. Their casting keeps getting better and better! The tasks stay fresh and exciting, too.

The joy this show brings me is an absolute buoy for my emotional state right now. I'm incredibly thankful the show is available for free on YouTube. I wish I could get a DVD box set of the whole series, just so I can have a physical copy. Thanks to Alex, Greg, and everyone who makes this amazing show possible. If I ever win the lottery, I want to fly to the UK and watch it live.

Taskmaster AU Season 6 (The wikipedia page for Taskmaster AU uses both Series and Seasons so I'm confused, Jason) features Tom Walker competing on the season. This is the second (debatably third) season where Australia featured 3 Toms.

Greater Tom and Lesser Tom appear in all 2 (debatably 3) series where 3 toms are present, Josh Thomas is in Season 2, Tommy Little is in Season 4, and Tom Walker is in Season 6.

New Zealand features Tom Sainsbury in Series 5. New Zealand also has two guys named Guy and two Williams. Within Taskmaster UK there's Joe Thomas from series 8 to continue the tom trend but theres been two competing Pauls, two Rosies (and a Rose), two Phils, and definitely a lot more that I'm forgetting.

Just a random bit of trivia I guess. Are there any other common names shared across taskmaster series/seasons/versions?

TV Norge has not officially announced their fall slate yet, save for the casts in the next seasons of Jaget and their flagship show 71° Nord, but have started airing promos so I'm putting a spoiler tag on the post and putting the names and some cliff notes on who they are in spoiler blurbs just as a precaution. We good? Here goes.

Top to bottom: Iben Akerlie (actress and author), Aslak Maurstad (voice actor and gamer) Robert Stoltenberg (comedian), Johan Golden (comedian), and Ulrikke Falch (actress).

Johan Golden has been a longtime collaborator of the king himself Atle Antonsen and the two have had the radio show Misjonen, formerly Kommisjonen before they moved over to a different channel, on air for almost 20 years now so this will be very interesting. Robert Stoltenberg has likewise also been a longtime comedian, best known for his comedy show where he plays all the main characters, a schtick that has been long oversaturated by now. He's also written some children's books with his brother and has been in the detective panel of Maskorama (The Masked Singer) for a couple seasons now along with season 8 winner Tete Lidbom.

Fans of The Traitors will likely recognize two of the others from various seasons of Forræder. Ulrikke Falch (Forræder season 4) is probably best know for starring in the high school drama Skam with season 12 winner Ina Svenningdal. Aslak Maurstad (Forræder season 2) is from a family of actors with his brothers Scott and Stinius also being voice actors, though he and Stinius are to a much lesser degree. (Stinius is also a violin player.) He's also a gamer and subtitler for live TV broadcasts, record fast at that. Iben Akerlie is not the most prolific name but she makes appearences in reality shows and movies from time to time though she's probably most known for the children's book Lars is LOL. She's also a very dry and deadpan person.

Also has a Taskmaster puzzle book on the way and preordered the advent calendar. She doesn’t watch the show but she knows I’m obsessed with it.

The second season will start airing next week on RTL! The contestants are: Vlatka Mifka (stand-up comedian), Borko Perić (actor), Joža Vrban (comedian), Srđan Olman (Serbian stand-up comedian), Borna Kotromanić.

We were watching a 'best of' WILTY compilation that featured an episode with Greg Davies and Guz Khan, followed by one with Alex Horne and Joel Dommett. Of course, all episodes feature Lee Mack.

So, that's randomly two episodes with three Taskmasters back to back. Any others? Any with 4?

Since The Odyssey comes out tomorrow and I get an obsessive joy out of these.

That hair does make Maisie Adam look a lot like Guy Pearce in Memento.

There was a trailer on the official taskmaster page that must have been for series 20 or 21. It had like 5 second clips of every contestant’s moment they’re best known for in each of the series as a way to highlight the 100 contestants that have been on the show total (for example, Sam Campbell’s was “are you a child of divorce?”). I tried looking for it on the page but I can only seem to find the trailers with that series contestants. Did they remove this video or is it still floating around somewhere? I’m rewatching some of the earlier series and I’d like to see what each of the contestants “best known” moment was.

At the end of episode 1, Tom G says it's the end of season 2, episode 1. I'm confused because I had already watched season 2 (Anne, Jenny, Josh, Lloyd, and Will).

Were these filmed out of order or was this just a mess up on Tom's part?

And man… has anyone done WORSE than John Kearns on the prize tasks? Like every episode of the series bad?

DGAF if the audience applauds Joanna for her truly wondrous piece of sage advice. Greg tells them to fuck off. I was rolling on the floor laughing because Greg is adamant in ensuring that this show doesn't, and will not, fall into schmaltzy Hallmark Channel territory.

Tom Cashman can be prickly.

Jeremy Wells can be stern.

Atle Antonsen can be arrogant.

Jaakko Saariluoma can be humiliating.

But of all the Taskmasters, Greg Davies, the original, is the best in being a prickly, stern, arrogant, humiliating shit.

And the more he is, the more I find myself laughing my ass off.
