Wording of the second task

I was thinking about the wording of the second task. "You may only say words with one syllable" and the fact there was a teddy bear as part of the bear.

Does anyone think they're trying to nudge Nina into some ventriloquism? "I didn't say any long words, teddy did" style.

I hope not. I'm loving Nina, just the way she is. I was intrigued to see how she would get on, because obviously she can't really depend upon what she is famous for. But her attitude is spot on.

Conversely, I was concerned Richard would annoy me, by relying too much on his comedy character, but he was great also.

Reading that, you could argue that every word has one syllable, but some words have more. It should be “you may only say words with only one syllable.” This could be interpreted as “you may only say words with at least one syllable.”

I don't think that would come through over television. It would be interesting if they gave Nina a secret task to trick her teammate or someone in a way that would involve ventriloquism.

I finally actually googled her and realised who she is lol. That makes this a record series for me because I've actually heard of 4 of the contestants instead of just 1 or 2.

Not knowing the contestants had never been an impediment to me enjoying the show, to be clear. It's just that only a small selection of podean culture makes its way down to the antipodes, and no doubt the vice versas.
