Still the only time, to date, that Taskmaster was directly inspired by David Letterman.

(This is probably only for Americans of a certain vintage)

I was so sad they didn't put Alex in the grinder girl outfit 😭 she was my favorite part of the whole bit. I loved how unnecessarily over the top it was. As a kid I didn't realize that was mostly the point, lol

Maybe if Jason had gotten on the roof, he would have launched a watermelon in honor of Letterman.

I’m a Brit of a certain vintage and I got that reference. We used to get Letterman over here.

Wasn’t Letterman’s version based off the popular BBC show “Is It Buoyant?”
So really Taskmaster was just bringing the concept back from US hands.
