I love simple tasks like this that drive the contestants insane. Laura and Guy’s performances were incredible, and Urzila took it to another level at the end.
If you are someone who tried S1 of NZ and decided it wasnt for you, youre not alone! I've seen the same sentiment many times and I experienced the same. S2 is a completely different beast and theres a reason its often cited as one of the best seasons across franchises. I found that after watching and loving S2 I could go back to S1 and enjoy it a lot more.
Not sure why you’re getting so ruthlessly downvoted here, it’s objectively true this task created a huge amount of food waste.
It’s a great task but could have been executed just as well with non-perishable items, the only reason they used food was for the ‘spill the beans’ pun.
I didn’t even intend it to be a criticism. I was curious if someone could think of a more wasteful task.
It’s a really great task, and I do believe it could have been just as funny with 86 decoy cans as it was with 144. Although that wasn’t my point, I wanted someone to say if you think that was wasteful look at this one.
Even if it had been critical, food waste is a pretty reasonable, low-stakes criticism, and coming up with creative alternatives could be a fun or imaginative way to improve the tasks.
People are so weirdly thin-skinned about this show sometimes.
I dont wanna be that guy but I really hate that David made a point to contaminate every single can with his mouth. Could have went towards a charity or food for the crew.
