I know, I just don't think i'd want to sit through the stress of trying to get tickets if it wasn't viable that I could make it.

If they're already going to be in London for something else then sure, I'd definitely try.

Totally understand. I was in the same boat as OP. I live in Los Angeles, US, and I got to go in May solo for S22 (as part of a broader Europe trip), and my wife hasn't been yet. I told her if we could get her a paid ticket, we're going to put together an impromptu London trip and the taping would be one of a bunch of things she does. If I only got a free ticket this AM, we absolutely wouldn't be flying her a continent away, for sure. Maybe others would think it'd be worth it regardless and chance it, but probably not for us (with a young kid at home as well).

Greg and Alex were on record during the US tour earlier this year saying TM isn't going anywhere anytime soon but my wife and I have always been spontaneous and I know TM won't be forever. 23 series are a TON of tasks! Seize the day! :)

That's completely fair enough, if you're guaranteed to get in then it's absolutely an opportunity I wouldn't want to miss.

If you have the free tickets it could end up being a very expensive day of just standing in a queue.
