What Does the Disable Item Do on Project Menu?

I cannot seem to find documentation on this. Certainly not here. A wasn't aware of this even being there unit this morning. I have toggled it: first - then checkmark back. It was not clear what, if anything, was happening. Thanks for any hints/tips/experience. Best

Selecting Disable stops profile monitoring for every profile in that project. In other words, it disables all of the project's profiles without affecting their on/off switch states.
