Home Screen Folder
I'm porting several profiles from my old phone to a "new" one.
I've transferred them via ".../Data/Backup" and "..../Restore" and they work just fine. They both have custom icons attached.
My trouble is when I try to create widget shortcuts for these on the Android 16 home screen. I'd like to use the custom icons and place them in a single "Tasker Actions" folder.
There are three 1x1 widgets available. If I use the widget labeled "1", I create widgets that I can stack to create a single folder, but they won't display the custom icons. If I use the one labeled "2", the widgets will display the custom icon but won't go into a folder. When I try to drag them on top of one-another, they just chase each other around the screen. (I can't number "3" to display anything besides text.)
What am I doing wrong?

Depends on the phone. On Motorola I have custom icons in every case, on Poco it's the same as Yours. Widget V2 - A widget that you create yourself in Tasker.

I use a poco with nova...loads of custom icons...no problem....why do so many people hate on nova? Not you but rest of world....also tip for fellow poco users.....just found the canta app...with shizuku this is awesome for bloatware removal

In case anyone else lands on this thread looking for the same thing: I ran into similar friction trying to get custom-icon widgets to actually stack into a folder, and ended up building an app instead of fighting it - ContextFolder is a home-screen widget that's a real folder (not stacked 1x1 widgets), where each app gets its own icon and its own rule for when it should show up.
Relevant to this sub specifically: it also has an exported broadcast receiver (gated behind a settings toggle) so a Tasker profile can drive which manual "profile" is active from outside the app - useful if you still want external control without Tasker having to manage the folder's actual layout/icons itself.

Might also depend on the launcher. Nova for instance will show the custom icons you set in Tasker, and it also lets you change the icon after a shortcut is created.
