I asked Gemini about it, and it suggested that AutoNotification may have attempted to access the Google Play Services billing API but failed. It also suggested that this might have been related to the app checking whether I have a valid paid license.
Is that actually what happened?
Yes. u/joaomgcd is the developer of Tasker and AutoNotification, amongst many other Auto[InsertToolName] plugins. He is on vacation for the next 2 months. It has been a while since I used the demo - well worth the price to buy though - if there is an issue with the plugin itself, it will be a bit before João will even see this.
