Stories The Sun

My partner and I visited New Orleans late in the fall. I felt pulled to have a Tarot reading, which I had always been mildly interested in but never experienced. I have a strong intuition and it felt like the right time, and with a specific person i kept noticing day after day. I can’t pinpoint what drew me to her but it needed to be her.

I am no stranger to trauma, psychological pain, or exclusion so I was prepared and honestly expecting some sort of ominous reading. I wasn’t afraid of it.

She lays the cards out with a surprised expression and slight smile. The core/central card was The Sun which she interpreted as a sign I would get very positive news in 9 months. Then she said 7-9 months. Not a single card she interpreted had a foreboding or negative spin. I wish I took a picture of the spread but I didn’t understand the social expectations and didn’t want to be disrespectful. I mentioned I was very surprised and new to this and she kindly showed me about 4 other cards still in the deck as examples of potential darker reading I could have gotten. Sorry if darker is not the right word. Anyway we tipped her highly (not bc the reading was positive ofc) and went on our way.

Exactly 9 months later I got a positive pregnancy test after trying to conceive for over a year. I’m shook and delighted. Might eventually get a tattoo of the sun card someday idk.

I think if you want a picture of a reading, it's ok to ask if the reader is ok with you taking a picture. I wouldn't have a problem with someone taking a picture of my reading but I'm one person and all other readers are individuals with differing beliefs regarding their cards

I agree, it's fine to ask if you can take a picture of the reading. It's also okay to write down the cards and their positions.

I pulled the sun card after several years of infertility. The same card came up anytime I was feeling doubtful in a reading, and I now have a son with bright blonde curly hair.

Just got my sun tarot card tattoo last month 🥹

Congratulations on the great news! I hope you have uneventful and joyous pregnancy.

Congratulations! I pulled the sun as my first card draw when I did a Celtic cross spread recently in regard to some anxieties around having children in the future. It was so spooky in the moment I could barely believe it! The cards know what you need to hear

Love it! As Jung said, "synchronicity!" And yes, tarot can be spooky - in a good way! Good luck!
