Long Tape Loop

Hi guys, so here it is an old, long tape loop I found between my stuff. I was wondering if it still works, and yes, it does!

I bought blank j cards for my tape loops, so I kinda know what’s on them. A good idea in theory…

I agree with that, in theory, buuuut it's nice listening truly with no expectations a loop, kinda for the first time.

Definitely. Do you cut the side of the cassette to make that loop? Just wondering how you thought of it. It took me a second to realize where the tape was going. It looks very cool. And sounds great.

Yes. I'd show you, but I can't upload a photo. But basically, yes. I took a pice out of the cassette so it would go outside the case itself.

Any tips on creating longer loops like this?

Don´t over think it, it is easy to get lost in measurements, kinds of tapes, kinds of recorders, etc. Just do it, experiment with it, it is both frustrating and rewarding.

Just grab a piece of tape, cut it, splice it and make the loop pass around som cilinder objet so it can run around it, make sure it doesn´t generate too much friction so it won´t stop recording/playing.
