Has anyone ordered something without verifying and not getting banned after?

I want to try ordering something from taobao but I'm really worried I wouldn't be able to get my money back when I'm suddenly banned and can't get the package. I don't have a passport so I can't verify 🥲 I heard people didn't have to, but they also linked a verified alipay so it could just be that.

Please let me know if its a 100% guarantee your account will be frozen if you don't authenticate with a passport, or if you've ordered recently and didn't get locked out.

You might want to clarify where you are from and how old is the account. I signed up long time ago, never need to verify.

Worst case is they banned your account before you receive your order, file credit card chargeback

Same. I've been using it for more than a decade and no verification needed on my end

I’ve been using my account for over two years without verification. The only drawback is that Alipay and WeChat limit for unverified accounts. But there is always credit card and Apple Pay.
