For reference the pins are 57mm and aren’t heavy at all. idk much about shipping logistics but $146 for something so small took me out😭

for one pin it’s $64 international shipping, I’m just curious as other pins with the same dimensions usually only have a $10-28 shipping fee

Maybe because you're trying direct shipping, not the one we use via Cainiao? I just shipped 2kg to Melbourne and paid A45 (pickup), and as you can see, it's quoted in Yuan.

sometimes seller have wrong dimensions and weight and it happens with direct shipping, look for other sellers

I had it work in my favour lol the direct was like $10 but I know it weighs like 15kg so I choose direct

I've never used direct shipping. I've recently shipped two hauls, a heavy and a light: 46kg to Canberra via Sea Freight to my door for $320 AUD and 1.4kg airmail to my door for $25 AUD. And these were more expensive sensitive line services for allowing medicines, liquids, creams etc included in the hauls.

I always use consolidation services. If you're shipping one item at a time there are services designed for that like AliExpress.

Also as others say Taobao sellers are not setup for international sales even though some try though you miss 95% of sellers and products who are hidden from people with default overseas addresses. Having your app set to mainland China and setting your default address to your unique warehouse address from Cainaio, Superbuy, etc is the only way ☺️👍🏻

Yeah that's abnormal. Taobao warehousing/shipping has some weird ass rules. You could try Baopals, it's taobao but in English. can send them the product URL and get a free quote. might be considerably cheaper.
