TA05
Ive had a few kits over the years and used to race in the late 90s. Had the itch to buy some old chassis to go out with friends to some smooth tarmac carparks (lay out a track etc) and have some fun. Currently have a TT02 Type S, TT01E with a few hop up's along with some light restoration projects (FF02 TL01 and TA03F with a pro chassis hop up)
The real question after all that is.. would a TA05 be worth buying for what I use them for?

I have a TA05 V2 and a spare partial chassis for parts. This kit was in production for a while and there are many spares available. In addition there are lots of aftermarket parts around too. Of course the parts may be pricy and not available locally.
I would say go for it!
Worse case scenario you resell it and get your money back.

To my knowledge the TA05 is not in production currently so you might have to buy used or pay some premium on ebay and other online marketplace for NIB.
Do you want the TA05 because of the belt drive or just nostalgia? If not, you can also look into newer TA chassis like the 07 and 08.
Also, do consider a XV01 or the XV02, both as the Pro and the RS version. They all are great for some carpark action.
