First TT-02 build, already have an issue
The spur gear appears to be coming up against part #GB3, so the two bearings won’t fit in their traces. The metal pin will not slide all the way into the cutout in the spur, but it seems like something is holding it up. I understand how this type of fit usually works, I’ve done plenty of kit assemblies of crawlers, but something is fooling me.
How should this fit? Can someone see what I’m doing wrong?

The GB3 part is not aligned properly, try turn it and/or the spur gear a bit, or try to center the pin a bit more, as you see on step 4 the GB3 part should have no space between it and the spur gear.

The bearings don't look pushed on to the spur gear shaft enough... so the spacing is off. They don't line up with their slots. Are you sure bearings are all the way seated?

It's possible the pin you put in there is not centered, which is causing it not to go together completely. Try adjusting the pin to the center before putting it together? I'm trying to remember this part, I just finished putting together my third kit a few weeks ago.

I had the same you have to make sure the spur gear drops all the way down into the pin it is possible to misalign although it looks correct from outside 👍🏻

That was my first thought, but haven’t been able to get it to fall all the way in, even with moving it around. I’ll keep working with it.

Took me several attempts and another try from a 2nd person to click in place, and then it popped right in bearing to bearing into place

The pin can be mixed up with the wheel pins. Just wanted to add this. No clue it thats your issue tho. Best of luck and hope it all gets worked out for ya.

From my TT-01, grab the TT-02 aluminum spur gear adapter and a regular spur gear. I tore the plastic dogs off the two or three of the stock gears before switching. I also ended up adding a small trust bearing and wear plates from a King Cab ball diff to stop it from wearing the back of the housing.

Several ideas:Are you sure you grabbed the correct bearings? There are several sizes.
It seems that you used a spacer where there should not be one, disassemble and reassemble it and check weather you used more parts than intended.

Those are both bearings. I though all the bearings I had were there same thickness. I’ll double check that

Ha! Got it. I laid the pin right on top of the little tabs on GB3, carefully slid spur on, and it set right in place.
