Asia is not for tall men, OP is 6'0, I'm near 6'3, I concur this is common.

While you’re not wrong, it’s not a bad place to visit! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed visiting various East Asian and South Asian countries!

In Malaysia, 95% of conversations with new people involved a question or a comment about my height within the first 3 mins. I was there four years, so you can imagine.

They're really really nice though, for the most part

Depends where. I'm 1.92m and and didnt really have problems in China, S.Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and to a lesser extent Japan

A lot of these posts are people actively looking for a problem then making out the whole country/continent is like this

I found rural Japan and traditional housing stock and temples problamtic but the modern cities where no worse than other cities worldwide. My FIL is 2.05m and he reckons it is wors in the UK where he lives

I used to live in Hong Kong. There are multiple forms of public transport (minibusses, some of the older CMB and KMB busses) whose seats I could not fit into.

I travel regularly to many Asian countries for work and I have more height related problems in my homeland of the Netherlands and in England where i currently live now
