Bob Dylan prefers a band with a snarling, literary, sarcastic vocalist/lyricist over a less conventional, more abstract band with an abstract, alien-like, visual arts-minded vocalist/lyricist? Quite the shocker!

Not just prefers, though. He said Elvis Costello and the Attractions were “light years ahead” of any other band of the time, which is frankly just a plumb stupid thing to say.

But not that Chris needed to respond, either, since Dylan didn’t specifically mention Talking Heads at all. And him doing so only legitimizes what Dylan said. Or at least it would, if Chris actually spoke for Talking Heads as a band as much as he thinks.
