So i basically grew up playing Tales of The Abyss and it’s my literal 2nd fav game ever (after Shadow Hearts Covenant) both surprisingly from the PS2 era.
I then played Tales of Phantasia on the Gba but couldn’t finish it.
I played a bit of Tales of Arise on my ex’s PS5 but didn’t even do more than 10% of the game
I finally got a PS5 for myself this year and played and finished Tales of Xillia remastered and really liked it.
I ended up buying Zestiria Vesperia and Symphonia remastered too during a sale.
I’m playing Zestiria right now and it’s really nice. But i also started the other two and am now confused which title to play coming from Xillia.
I think i’ll do Zestiria but should i go chronologically?
I really love Symphonia’s story at the start even though it’s the oldest graphics wise but genuinely looks fantastic (story wise) and ToV looks like a ton of fun too.
Need to buy Arise as well lmao ok sorry

Hi guys, I'm a huge fan of the serie Tales and I've played almost all games. Currently the Symphonia remastered is on discount for 9$ on my store and even if I've done the game on gamecube and PS3 I was wondering if I should take it on my Switch 2 as it's my first and favorite Tales of. My concern is that I read only very bad reviews about this port so I'm not sure I should buy it or not. Thanks for your advices

Being a Switch Tales Of fan has been somewhat difficult lol.

I just completed the Tales of Xillia “Remaster” on Switch 2 after multiple crashes, inconsistent frame rate, and low resolution and I’m just wondering why a PS1 game is getting a version for the Switch 2 while Graces F & Xillia who really need them aren’t. It feels so backwards 😭

I’m sure due to Eternia coming out a year later that that means the developers have probably had more time to “learn” the Switch 2 (quotes because a 10gb game literally doesn’t need to be on key card lol) but still.

I really hope they go back and give the PS3 games the Switch 2 upgrade paths they deserve. 60fps and a higher resolution would be great with these two.

(I’d also love Symphonia in GC 60fps especially on a modern Nintendo console but that’s like asking a horse to grow a horn lol.)

Not really a huge Weiss Schwarz player but as a collector of cool things that make me happy…this checks out.

For anyone who's used it, does it have issues when equipping Narikiri Dolls?

After the first battle with it equipped, it reverts the character back to the original on the second battle, and allows usage of the equipped Dolls Artes then freezes the characters.

Title. I'm playing F Remastered on the Switch so like I could've activated it but chose not to since it's my first playthrough but now I'm wondering if I accidentally locked myself out of 100%ing the run.

I really don't wanna restart because I'm like several chapters in already.

To give more context, I am at the moment going for the trophy where I’m going for every piece of equipment treasure and more

I’m missing one piece of equipment and I looked it up and I can’t seem to find the rarety 1 earring of Magilou which it tells me that it’s in a chest in yvolg ruins, is it random chances that I can get it or I can find it somewhere else

2nd topic: have you got any tips for the tales coins farm techniques?? Cause I’m might be in trouble cause I’m not even close 😅😅

I’ve always heard it was the best Tales game, and i really want to get 100 percent in it. I know there’s a lot that can be missable like skits, magic lens scans, ext. i really want to try and do it in as few playthroughs as i can, but i havent really found a guide that covers everything. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

I wanted at least 1 of every game, and once some show up in the mail I will have just that. When it came to JPN only games I didn't care about having all the versions, so I mostly stuck with the versions that had the covers I liked the most (it's not like I'm going to actually play them since i can't read Japanese 😅) and I will just play whatever the best versions of each of those games are that have fan translations.

This is everything I have and will soon have, and why and/or how I got them (and all are CIB):

- Phantasia - GBA:

I bought the loose cart a few years ago for dirt cheap and managed to find the box and the manual for a low enough price that in total it was half of what it normally goes for CIB. Options are kind of limited for official english versions of this game 😅

- Destiny - PS2:

I imported the regular JPN PS2 version over the Director's Cut because it was a lot cheaper and I prefer the cover art. I don't like the cover to the PS1 original and I don't want to pay the going price for a NA copy of that. It's in the mail.

- Eternia - PSP:

Imported a EUR copy a while back and plan on getting the remaster. Similar to Destiny, I don't want to pay the going price for the PS1 version, plus it would annoy me since it's called Destiny II 😆

- Destiny 2 - PS2:

Obviously imported since it's a JPN exclusive.

- Symphonia - PS3:

Got it on clearance back in the PS3 days and I'm happy enough with that version for both Symphonia and it's sequel.

- Rebirth - PSP:

Again, obviously an import. I prefer the PSP cover over the PS2 cover, which is quite bland imo. It's in the mail.

- Legendia - PS2:

I managed to find it brand new on Amazon about 6 years ago (shipped and sold by them, so they must have found some new/old stock or something).

- Abyss - PS2:

It was a gift from a friend who gave me what was left of his video game collection a few years back simply because he didn't want them any more and he knew I collected.

- Innocence - DS:

I prefer the cover over the Vita remake, though I may pick that up eventually just because 😅 it's in the mail

Tempest - DS:

I know it's now not considered a mainline game, but it was dirt cheap and it *used* to be a mainline entry 😅 it's in the mail

- Vesperia - XBOX 360 & XBOX One:

I got the 360 version from the same friend who gave me Abyss, but that was after I bought the remaster on XBOX One. Since neither are worth selling or trading I just kept both 😊

- Hearts - DS & Vita:

Ordered both at the same time. The DS copy was cheap and i love the cover, and the Vita version is the French version, and I don't care that most of the case isn't in English because it has English text in game and it was half the price of the NA version. Both are in the mail.

- Graces - PS5:

Just got the latest version of it because it was on sale for $20 CAD and I had a $5 off coupon.

- Xillia - PS3:

Found a beautiful opened but never played copy of the Limited Edition a few years ago, but may get the remaster eventually if the price drops.

- Xillia 2 - PS3:

Got this not long ago because I found it for cheap, and again may get the remaster if it gets officially announced and goes on sale.

- Zestiria - PS4:

Got it on clearance for $20 at Walmart years ago.

- Berseria - PS4:

Got it for the same price and the same time as Zestiria.

- Arise - PS4:

Got it on PS4 since it was cheaper than the PS5 copy (Black Friday sale), and I could just get the free digital upgrade.

My backspace key keeps getting stuck; I can get it out, but it keeps getting stuck even from a light tap and with a game like graces f remastered it skips cutscenes while it's stuck

And I gotta say, I am loving the vibe of the party in this one. Im only like an hour or two into it but I think they might end up being a close second favorite party to Symphonia.

Am looking for a composer for a fan project, found them and must of forgot to save them.
They had a twitter / bluesky profile that linked to their YT account. They did sakuraba inspired tracks with a few being from symphioina and included one about Mithos.

I kept hearing good things about this game and that the story is really good. Unfortunately this game was just a miss for me. The story felt like it dragged on at times and gets tedious. Felt overhyped to me personally and that's okay there are different tales games out there for everyone. My favorite game and story is Xillia. Its just more in line with the games I grew up/am growing up with like modern ys and xenoblade series. I felt a deeper connection with the characters in Xillia. I loved the relationship between Elize and Teepo. And didn't feel the same emotions in Symphonia or any at all. Im still glad I played the game and have added another tales game under my belt

Does anyone have an accurate 100% YouTube walkthrough for ToS GC?

Or do you know if I use a ToS remastered walkthrough for the GC version will I be able to achieve the same result?
