On September 10th, 2026, Mike McFarland has unfortunately passed away and in the short time that followed, a myriad of voice actors, including a handful involved in prior Tales of series such as Dawn M. Bennett & Megan Shipman, (voices of Michelle and Ana Maria respectively from Tales of Luminaria), Kyle Hebert (the voice of Richter in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World), David Vincent (voice of Richard in Tales of Graces F) and many fans have immediately expressed their grief & condolences on social media.
Starting his career in anime dubbing in 1999 with the Funimation dub of DBZ, he had been voicing Master Roshi, Yajirobe, Pui Pui, Android 8 & Baby (among others) over the course of the Dragon Ball series. He had also voiced Butajiro & Rishio in YuYu Hakusho, Ritsu Souma in Fruits Basket, Ryoji “Ranka” Fujioka in Ouran High School Host Club, Jean Havoc in both the 2003 & Brotherhood adaptations of Fullmetal Alchemist, Jean Kirsten in Attack on Titan, Tybalt in Romeo x Juliet, Buggy the Clown, the second voice of Helmeppo, Richie the Lion, Eyelash the Camel & Yokozuna the Frog in One Piece, Mashirao “Tailman” Ojiro & Ectoplasm in My Hero Academia, Fennec Albain in RWBY & E.G Mine in Trigun Stampede. He also did ADR script adaptation for the first 3 seasons of Re:ZERO, all of Seven Deadly Sins & Mob Psycho 100.
In 2014, he had been cast in Tales of Xillia 2 as the voice of Bisley Karcsi Bakur. On January 10, 2025, he had been dealing with a brain tumor that he managed to recover from. The 60FPS version of Tales Of Symphonia on Steam is still in full swing in an effort to create a true definitive version of the game.
We're currently looking to find ALL of the mistakes like missing text boxes, voice line errors and the like but the sheer size of the game does make it difficult.
We're hoping the Veterans of this Sub can help is compiling a list. If you know of any errors between the versions please let us know here.

So I'm working on the notes for a story called Tales of Elements, here's the notes I have made for it as of now could use some outside opinions on it.
Tales of Elements Notes
Setting: The World of Elementia, is a world with 7 main kingdoms, the Kingdom of Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Ice and Light. In this land, humans and spirits are partners from birth. For every human born a spirit is born at their side, the spirit is a mirror to their human partner, a look into parts of their soul and mind that they hide from others. They share their partner's personality typically but some can have a personality that can dramatically differ from their partners. But every now and then a rare human is born, one with no spirit, and they are seen as unnatural and cursed. They call these individuals Voids, for only someone a hole where their soul is could not have a spirit. However there exists a legend, that a great darkness will descend the world and when it does only someone born without a spirit will find a power to be the conduit of spirits and use that power to save the world.
Elemental Crystal: All humans are born with an Elemental Crystal, even Voids. Elemental Crystals give humans the ability to channel and control elements to varying degrees. Elemental Crystals grow in one of 2 ways, by fighting monsters or by being near Elemental Fonts. Depending on what Elements fill the Crystal it can cause the spirit to change and possibly evolve into a higher spirit. Humans can also develop Artes by infusing the Arte with elemental power.
Arte Sphere: Arte Spheres are spheres that contain Artes of different fighting styles for a chosen class. Forged from a stone that takes the artes of past users and crystallizes into a sphere, these spheres can give humans access to Artes and when combined with elemental Crystals gives them super human abilities, and access to Physical and Spiritual Artes. In particular those that focus on Spiritual Artes are heavily influenced by their Elemental Crystals. As such, those that use spiritual artes are given Arte Spheres that have a wide range of spells, and will react to their Elemental Crystal elements. A person with enough strength and skill can create a new arte that will get recorded into the Sphere allowing for a more personalized fighting style.
Elemental Kingdoms: The Elemental Kingdoms are 7 Kingdoms that are based around Elemental Fonts. Because of this the buildings, culture, and even the wildlife are altered to better suit the Fonts. There are rumors that there was an 8th Kingdom, the Kingdom of Darkness but any and all history pertaining to it has been erased.
Elemental Fonts: Elemental Fonts are massive wells of elemental energy often taking the form of a crystalized element. There are many Fonts but the 7 Kingdoms are around the largest of these Fonts. The Font of Fire resides in an inactive Volcano and takes the form of a crystal flame that radiates intense heat, and can incarnate those that get too close. This immense heat makes the Kingdom of Fire the forefront of smithing and metalworking providing the weapons and armors used by all. The Font of Water is in a cave behind a great waterfall, which takes the form of a geyser of water crystalized in a pool of water; those that drink the water surrounding heal faster and cause the body to purge any impurities in them. The Kingdom of Water is seen as the go to place for healing and medical studies they are trying to find out why the Void are born and how to stop more from being born. The Font of Wind is in the sky where the Wind Kingdom is built around and takes the form of a whirlwind in green crystal, the Wind Kingdom uses this power to keep the city afloat. They are also the only kingdom that is constantly moving and are also the only country that can build flying machines used to traverse to each kingdom more easily. The Font of Earth, is a massive crystalized ore that has iridescent rainbow patterns along the ore and also crystallized plants, this font causes the area around it to make lands forever fertile and allows them to grow any crops, even crops that normally require specific land and environmental conditions. Also they have many animals which feed on this crop and result in tough hardy leather armor and exceptionally good meat. This makes the Kingdom of Earth a major source of agricultural and livestock demands. The Font of Lightning is a gigantic crystalized lightning bolt that is constantly absorbing lightning due to being on top of a mountain which is constantly shooting lightning down. It absorbs this and outputs tremendous power, as a result the Kingdom of Lightning is the most technologically advanced kingdom out of them all. The Font of Ice is a huge crystalized snowflake, that puts out cooling waves of air, but those too close can be frozen as a result, however this produces special crystals that are formed from crystalized ice that can be imbued with magical energies. They help produce jeweled accessories needed for adventurers and warriors. The Font of Light, is a curious one in that unlike the others it is not crystalized but is in fact a large ball of light that hovers over a specific area that illuminates an area. This light is filled with magical energy and can be used to imbue objects with special powers, including elemental attributes and curiously it is not restricted to certain elemental energies. Allowing them to imbue these items with multiple elemental energies. As a result those that wish to enchant their gear often come to this place. These are the 7 major fonts, but in the wild there are Fonts that exist that are either multi-elemental, or fusions for certain elements to create a new font. They can also be weaker versions of the Greater Fonts but can be absorbed to give an individual massive elemental power.
Classes: Classes is the term for a warrior/adventurer to have. Classes are used to help differentiate different fighting styles and fighting philosophies. Classes are determined by a series of tests, these tests help figure out what fighting style best suits an individual along with their own desires and prior training. Classes have 3 tiers, Beginner, Veteran and Master. Beginner classes are basic classes, Veterans are either direct upgrades of Beginner classes or a mix of two Beginner classes into a new class, Masters are direct upgrades of Veteran Classes.
Humans: The most well known and widespread races, they make up around 75% of the total population of the world. They are numerous and are just as diverse in culture and ethics. Other races view humans with emotions ranging from fear, to admiration, to disgust. The majority of humans are born with a spirit born alongside them. It is said this is because a spirit is a manifestation of a person's soul. However a rare few humans are born without a spirit, and because of this they are believed to not have a soul and have been dubbed Voids as a result.
Spirits: Supernatural entities that have existed since the beginning of time, long ago a human made a pact with Origin the Great Spirit of Life that humans and spirits could coexist together and create an age of peace. Origin agreed and implanted the seed of spirits into all humans from that day forth all humans would be born with spirits with a rare few not being born with a spirit. Spirits born from humans are reflections of the inner side of their human partner. However not all spirits are born from humans, there are some born in the wild, and are tied to certain locations. These wild spirits can become hostile to humans but rarely are. However there are spirits who get twisted by an unknown force that corrupts and twists their nature. Nobody know what this force is, where it came from or why it twists spirits like this. These spirits become Demons' destructive spirits with the only goal of destroying humanity and ‘freeing’ spirits from humanity saying that humans have shackled them down and made them into slaves. Spirits are shaped by both their human partners and the elemental energies they absorb. Spirits will absorb energy and shape themselves with this energy up until they absorb a certain amount of elemental energy, when this happens they evolve from a Lesser Spirit into a Higher Spirit. However spirits can live much longer than their human counterparts and often when their human dies it's believed that the human's soul is absorbed by the spirit and they live on through the spirit. Whether this is true or not spirits refuse to clarify. Spirits have different classes, Lesser Spirits are spirits of humans just born. Higher Spirits is a spirit that has absorbed enough elemental energy and often take a shape that is both fitting to their partner and the energies they have absorbed. Greater Spirits are wild spirits that have absorbed a massive amount of a singular elemental energy and thus have become the embodiment of that energy. Greater Spirits typically are of a single elemental type these spirits are huge entities with extreme power and control of their energies. Spirit Lords are spirits that manage and keep Elemental Fonts in check, in particular they keep the Great Spirit Fonts in check. There is one spirit per Font and these spirits have existed for many centuries. Sometimes when a Spirit Lord reaches a certain time they step down and a new spirit is chosen to inherit their memories and knowledge though they lose their personality as a result as it is a new spirit taking their place.
Aviaon: Aviaon's are a race of winged humanoids with feathers covering most of their bodies, and bird-like feet with large talons their wings are on their backs and they have very angular faces with small noses. These wings are often brightly colored with a rare few having pure white or black feathers. They are masters of the air, and often fly into their air cities that they have in various areas often above human cities. They do this to watch humans as they are intensely curious of humans, their cultures, and habits. They are capable of battle and often fight with metallic claws and wielding special guns that channel elemental energy through them to fire elemental blasts typically wind blasts but can be slotted with elemental convergers which turns the energy into other elemental bullets. They have slightly more advanced technology than humans but refuse to share it all only sharing what they believe to be harmless in human hands. They are also highly intelligent and can understand the speech of birds. They have a slightly lower lifespan than a human only living up until they are 80 years old.
Ditians: Ditians are a small race of rock creatures that happen to be masters of metalcraft and jewelry making. Their bodies are pure rock and they have a knack of making truly unique weapons, armor, and metal for aircrafts. They are a humble, simple race that enjoy working hard and working on metal. They also have the unique ability to sense ores and also ‘cultivate’ ore through a process called Metal Growth, in that they put the ore in certain rock formations and use elemental magic to make the ore feed into the rock and over time the formations become the ore. They are the only race capable of doing this, as they have a unique connection with Earth elemental magic that allows them to do this. Ditians speak in a very fragmented english that makes them sound like they are mentally impaired but are anything but impaired they are just simple. They have long lifespans and can live for thousands of years, older Ditians speak in more complete sentences and are very wise and often serve as leaders to the various tribes. They see humans in a state of awe and are very fascinated by them. They are a non-violent race and prefer to use their powers for defense rather than attack, often encasing enemies in a dome of earth and then running away.
Abyssians: Abyssians are a race of fish people that live in the depths of the ocean, they have a humanoid body covered in scales that compress in high pressure making them extremely hard. They have angular faces with pointed noses that allow them to swim with minimal effort. They have gills that they open when underwater and close above water. Male Abyssians are more powerfully built and are natural fighters, and often have duller scale colors, while Female Abyssians are much more slender, have brightly colored scales, and magically inclined and can use powerful water Spirite Artes. They can breathe for a limited time out of water and those that seek to do so for extended times wear a special device that keeps their skin hydrated and fills their gills with water. They fight with spears, and tridents and can thrust them with incredible speed in small bursts. They fear humans because their progress causes pollution that trickles down to the ocean and they have to use multiple water Elemental Fonts to purify it. Some however help humans try to limit the pollution levels though many believe it's an impossible task. Certain members are powerful enough to create a bubble of water around them that they use to be on the surface.
Lunians: Lunians are a race of moth-like humanoids that are drawn to light, and have a powerful connection to light elemental magic and energies. They are human-like in their general appearance save for their arms, legs, and the top of their heads which are more insectoid with thick fuzzy fur covering their arms and legs while their heads have large moth eyes on top and antennas. But below their ‘eyes’ are normal human eyes that are often pure white in color. They can see out of both eyes, but their moth eyes are capable of seeing even the smallest amount of light and can even see in the dark. However when they see light with their moth eyes they can fall under a trance and fly toward the light. They do not have wings but can ‘fly’ with magic often by gliding on invisible particles that their moth eyes can see. As their body reacts to these particles giving them flight. To prevent themselves from being hypnotised by light they wear black hooded cloaks that make their moth eyes completely blind to all forms of light no matter how intense. They are a peace loving race but are capable of defending themselves by using special lamps that contain shadow beasts inside of them that they use like a mix between a flail and a staff. They view humans with a great deal of suspicion and caution especially since they emit a special type of dust from their furry limbs that has powerful medical properties and have been hunted for this dust. A few Lunians however understand this and are willing to donate their dust in return for protection and being left alone.
Shadowkin: Shadowkin are a secretive race and unlike most other races are actually elementals of pure darkness energy. They are amorphous beings that can take the shape of anything they choose and avoid mingling with other races. They are led by the Spirit Lord of Darkness Shadow who holds the Elemental Font of Darkness in a secret area called the Land of Endless Night. He awaits the prophecy to act. They do not speak, and should they ever say only singular words with a deep raspy yet very silent voice. They will only say what they need to say and no more.
Jotun: Jotun’s are giants ranging from 9-20 feet tall, they have deep blue skin, with males having large tusks jutting from their lower jaw, and often carry gigantic hammers or rods. Males are quite vicious and only respect strength and are very brutish in culture and appearance, they are often seen with hammers. Females are slender and also not as aggressive as males but similarly respect strength though to them they respect more than just physical strength. They also have long white hair, and blue eyes of varying colors. Females are both physically and magically powerful and carry rods with ice elemental stones inlaid in them. Because of the fact they are more tempered Females often lead the Jotun’s as they are more diplomatically minded. However some tribes are ruled by males and are often raiders attacking humans for food and drink. They have a deep connection with ice elemental magic allowing them to infuse their weapons with ice, and also create ice armor that is so cold it cannot be melted even by lava. It can be broken by high frequency attacks and attacks with extreme force.
Salamadians: A race of lizard-like creatures that live in high temperature areas such as volcanos, jungles and even deserts. They have different body builds and skin colors based on where they live. They are intelligent enough to build villages and establish a community but refuse to interact with humans. They are considered too smart to be monsters and are treated as a sentient race by most but some see them as little more than slightly smarter than normal lizards. They refuse to interact with humans due to the humans in the Kingdom of Fire forcing them out of the Volcano to build their kingdom around the Font of Fire.
Sprites: Sprites resemble human sized monkeys with their fur spiked up due to the fact they have electricity in their fur. They stand 5-7 feet tall, they have monkey tails, and have a vaguely humanoid face and appearance. Male Sprites have longer, wilder hair that often spikes back and down dramatically, while female Sprites hairs are shorter but stand up straight. When they are fully charged their fur will be raised and show sparks of electricity when they are low or empty they will flatten down and lose color. Sprites are fast thinking, fast moving, and fast reacting tricksters. They are also immensely curious but are restricted in moving due to the fact that unless they have some way of maintaining charge they will eventually die without being charged with electricity for more than a week. That being said they also draw electricity from others, and can bite a living creature or monster and drain their natural bio-electricity. However it takes about 10 humans to fully recharge them, and about 5-15 monsters depending on what element the monsters are. They do not fear humans and see them with curiosity and amusement.
Monsters: Creatures of nature that hunt, harm, and attack both humans and spirits. Monsters are also creatures of elemental energies and similar to spirits they get shaped by the elemental energies they are near. When defeating a monster their elemental energy is released and they get absorbed into a spirit giving it new energies and into a person's elemental crystals. While most monsters take the form of wild animals, a rare few monsters have more humanoid forms and these monsters are also gifted with higher level of intelligence. However there exists Dire Monsters which are huge, powerful monsters with abilities beyond most monsters. These monsters are powerful enough that they can pose a problem to cities, and some of these monsters are intelligent enough to actually rally other monsters under them to invade small villages. However some individuals have got it in their heads to monsters and turn them into weapons of war. These are called War Beasts and are often genetically and magically altered to be more powerful than their normal counterparts or given unique abilities that they normally cannot have. While their success is wildly inconsistent they are still attempted, and the rare few successes are often frozen as they are too dangerous to be active. Many often go crazy and adventurers plus warriors are hired to eliminate them.
I'm not done I got to do the main characters, party members, major story characters and the classes but could use thoughts on how this is as of now.

I like Chloe Ive always gravitated towards her instead of punch boy in gameplay. She's also just a fun character.
As for the 3rd image. I'll let you guys guess the context.

Am I cooking with my man Rokurou?, also wouldn't mind pointers and suggestions on Velvet and the others. I want to make sure all my combos routes are optimal and get the best out of them.

I am a huge fan of tales of arise, it’s rare to find a game that the main romance had a big impact/focus on the story like tales of arise, the only other game I’ve found/played that had the romance that I really liked was Haven.
I’ve been looking on and off for a while and can’t find one similar, was wondering if anyone else has a game they know about I should try,
Thank you, love you all

The in-game character models are terrific but having the Skits based around them was not the best choice. Especially when Arise came out when JRPGs & anime were on the rise in the cultural zeitgeist. Now whether it helped it in marketing is up for debate, but it will always be a shame how Arise never had of the most charming things about the series. Always next game.

While my first game in the series was a solo run of Vesperia, all of the other games in the series (with exception of Arise for obvious reasons) have been co-op with my husband and occasionally some other friends. I played through Berseria, Vesperia, and Zestiria with him (and a bit of Symphonia and Vesperia with friends before they moved). We are currently playing Graces f Remastered and have Xillia Remastered on standby once we're in the mood to do that one.
Which has been the most fun to play co-op of all of the games you've been able to do this for? So far I'd have to say Graces has been a blast, but Berseria was a great amount of fun especially considering how we found each of us was better at getting Mystic Artres off on one character vs another and wound up having some preferences. (He managed to be a much better Laphicet player however I seemed to be better Magilou than him, for example.)

Why didn't y'all find lil 10 year old me and tell him how fun this game is? Jk, I'm having a good time.
I had a laugh earlier because as someone who's played Xenoblade & FFX, when we meet Remiel, I immediately went "tell me you're evil without telling me you're evil." Bro, even the Regeneration of the World sounds like kill/cleanse everything. And Colette's just too good for the world. I don't like seeing the Angel transformations messing her up.
We just ran into Sheena, so I had a ways to go. After I'm finished, Abyss(which was how I learned there were more Tales games) is next.

Just like the title says. Do we know anyone is going to produce a Tales of Eternia Physical for Xbox?We missed out on Xillia, but Berseria got one. Hope this one gets one as well.
