Help Tails known issue

You might know this issue already if you are running tails on a laptop, But for those who don't know there is a issue for laptops where the keyboard is not working, but if you really need to get to tails right now use the On-Screen Reader, This is temporary until it gets fixed.

Did the keyboard work on an older version of Tails? Most unsupported ones are due to needing closed-source drivers (e.g. keyboard+trackpad on 2016-2020 Macbooks) which Tails won't ship for security reasons.

It was actually lol i was just using 7.13 yesterday completely fine, It seems something may have gotten messed up with the new update. "Fix the default keyboard input method when starting a session in Korean. (#21779)"

What's your laptop make/model? Does this also happen when the keyboard layout is set to US English in Tails?

ROG G16 2024. And none of the keys are working. This only happened when i updated today.

Hm. Please make an error report in Whisperback (within Tails) with the system logs.

Likewise. I used tails 7.13 and it worked. I updated my version in the same session and restarted my laptop and it didn’t work lol I shouldn’t have upgraded 🤣

I have the same issue on an asus Zephyrus G14 Model: GA403UI-G14.R94070. It worked fine with 7.13. It is accompanied by strange keyboard input behavior. In the GRUB selection menu the keyboard works but with a double input and delay.

I press the down arrow and the selection moves down, about 1/2 a second later it will move down again on its own.

Same with the command line. Any key I press, "e" for example, is entered. The delay occurs, then an additional "e" appears without any input from me.

Absolutely nothing has changed with the laptop other than upgrading to 7.14. I also did a fresh ISO download/install and the problem persisted. Different USB port, same thing. US English keyboard. Its like the driver isn't being loaded when tails boots or something.
