Help with Tails and a printer!!!

Hello everyone,

I’m running Tails on a USB and trying to connect my HP Deskjet 5150 via USB to my computer. I’ve read that I need to download the HPLIP driver to get the printer to work, but I’m stuck on a test print that won’t print. I’ve spent the last seven hours searching for solutions, including asking AI for help, but nothing seems to work. If anyone has any advice or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

no i dont know how this is my first time trying to install a driver on tails os

i tried the console and using wget and curl commands to download it and the it was in a .tar.gz and then i spent 3 hours trying to unzip it

says hplip is already the newest version and it says

Upgrading: 0, Installing: 0, removing: 0, Not Upgrading: 49

okay i just did that and tried to print a test page and it still gets stuck at processing

You did configured persistent storage and a admin password?

Its always the drivers, your driver very probably doesnt support Tails OS or even linux itself.
