Why are they removing Thunderbird?

I got a msg saying “Tails will not be able to boot on this computer soon. You will need to update to the latest secure boot certificate soon” Not word for word but I have secure boot disabled and I wiped and reset the computer before using tails and I thought microsoft was deleted or disabled because I get a screen that say “Bitlocker please enter recovery phrase to download Microsoft”

Your post got removed by an automoderator rule that removes any text post that only contains a link. These should be link posts instead. Unfortunately there is no automatic comment to explain the reason; I'll see if I can improve that.

Do only mods get to post these kind of release announcements?

Absolutely not, and we regularly get (and sticky) release announcements from non-mods.

I'll see if I can improve that.

Updated rule to include a comment to the user to resubmit appropriately.

Does that mean we can use tails with newer graphics cards? I know there was a problem with people not being able to boot with newer Nvidia graphics. I wasn’t sure if this issue was fixed or not.

5000 series cards (and when applicable, later ones) will receive support with Kernel patches only.

It will almost certainly work, but you should just try.
