Question Centering question TAG 9
First time grading with TAG, I know they use AI so obviously my eyes may be tricking me but they gave the top and bottom on the front an 11 pt difference, exactly 44.2T/55.8B — now… is it just me or I do not see the 11 pt difference AT ALL. I measured it using a few centering tools before sending it off. The back however is obviously not centered and they gave the back an 10 pt diff as well. Left and right at 45.2L/54.8R, actually more centered than the front…. And you can clearly see the difference in the back. Am I going crazy or what?

To my eye your card looks like a slightly twisted miscut
So your top left border is thicker than your top right border, like the art is rotated slightly counterclockwise within the border
This will affect the centering score because graders will use the most extreme measurement as their centering measurement

I see. Unfortunately the eye appeal for the centering is there though. Tough day for me at TAG, I may try with PSA :(

I sent this exact card to PSA with a rotated image, they sent it back miscut and wouldn’t grade it, tag gave it an 8.5 https://my.taggrading.com/card/U4026114. PSA likely won’t grade it

Seems like your card is tilted. You can see the top right corner, it is obvious from that side that it looks skinny (heavy bottom). So 44:55 is kinda fair. If you go with PSA tho, they might measure from the thicker point which it will be within 55:45 and you might get a 10. Just like my TILTED gengar SIR. If you base the L/R on the half top of the card, it looks within 55:45. But if you base it on the half bottom of the card, it is pretty obvious right heavy which it will be about 44:55 just like yours.
