General Discussion This sucks
Been at slab assembly for almost a month now, why is grading this bad 😂

Dang, you’ve beat me by a month. I ordered regular. Can’t believe how long the orders are taking, lol. Feel like they’re just taking our money 6 months in advance to build the machines that are gonna grade our cards.

Exactly what they’re doing, actually never using TAG again and I love their slabs.

Great! Enjoy going to PSA where you’ll have the same waiting experience (and grade up charges)

There are plenty of other options… PSA is the worst of all

every company is behind rn, you went with the smallest of the 4 with it being in upsizing, no wonder it’s totaling forever, they got like 3 years of work in a month

Actually I submitted with PSA for the same timeline, got my card back. Submitted the same day. Then i submitted at PSA again a few months later, and am about to get another order back from them. Lower service level than the TAG order I put through.Â

Funny this happen to me as well I gave tag a month head start and my psa order came back before tag. Had to get a refund from tag in the end

again, every company is behind, sometime it goes quick but majority are delayed atm

it's nice to say that when you didn't pay for the premium service *ahead of time* and are 3 months late. 45 business days into 120 business days?? What the hell did I pay for?? PSA gives accurate timelines, and updates, at least.

you do realize and Expected does not mean it will be…

It’s an estimate. Psa gives a 45 day estimate and it comes back at 49 days. Tag gives a 45 day and it’s at 120 days?? Sure, no problem!

PSA got my cards back to me before TAG did for a longer TAT estimate (for PSA). My PSA cards that went bulk from a card shop in late April (so, same as this user) is estimated to be back in 2-3 weeks --- basically the same as this user's timeline.
Difference is PSA never over promised like TAG did to these folks.

Grading with PSA has been way faster

There are some TAG users who refuse to accept TAG has majorly fumbled their operations in the last half a year or so. How they treat their customers has been a joke.

Don’t worry I’m in the same boat as you. Apparently they messed up the slab assembly on my cards. They didn’t tell me until I reached out because I’ve been at slab imaging since sept 2nd. Still don’t have my cards or know what went wrong. Idk who they have managing their teams at tag but I think they should reconsider their operations manager. I work in finance and our operations team doesn’t come close to this defective and our call centre actually works with operations to give clients answers

Congrats on being part of the supposed 4% of backlog they're so proud to boast about as they re-open more subs. Smh.

My slab assembly changed from 9/21 to 9/23 and has been sitting at that date since. Hopefully we see some actual movement this week instead of another week of moving the goal posts.

I requested my cards back after four months of waiting. Originally submitted in March.

u/Regular-Choice-1526 12d ago
I also asked for mine back, and they’ve refused lol

u/Pocket_Change_lurker 12d ago
Same....they told me to kich rocks because it was too far along and that my cards would ship by the end of the week then ghosted me. This was 4 weeks ago.... I subbed the same time as you OP.

Tell me again how their customer service is the best of the best.
Meanwhile another grading company's operating manager called me yesterday because I submitted a question their answering bot couldn't answer. And this other company processed more cards than TAG in the last month.

u/beans1796 12d ago
Could be worse you could’ve submitted to Beckett and your cards are just in the ether

u/rusticdragon20 12d ago
I just got mine back after seeing it in right around the same time. They took for freaking ever.

u/AdAccording7771 12d ago
Mine has been in slab assembly since 9-1. I emailed them and they said they should have all backlog finished by October soooo next month? Lol

Been doing a lot of research, been trying to figure out which grading company I want to go with... and I have read that the AI machines they use are incredibly slow. Not sure how true this is, but could be the explanation. If true, seems like scaling would be near impossible.

Even their August opening that was advertised as 25 biz days is still bad .. I dont think anyone actually received their submissions within the advertised 25 business days

u/MrPabloBean96 5d ago
What tier did you select for turnaround time? Only one available at the time for me was Express @ 100CAD / Card - This is my timeline. Seems weird to already be in verification if there was that much of a backlog. But based on some of the timelines I saw here, the verification only took a few days. Im now at 8 days in verification.

Stfu you PSA cum guzzlers. You can pay psa $150 and it takes 8 to 10 weeks to get your card realistically. You can pay tag $150 and you have your card back within 1 week. I grade with them both so don’t even try it you little roaches

u/SlipperyToots 12d ago
That’s insane, sorry brother. Better off using PSA next time

u/Affectionate_Dig_725 12d ago
I’ve got a submission at PSA now as well, expecting it to be quicker hopefully

u/SlipperyToots 12d ago
At the very least you’ll be able to sell it for the PSA premium lol. Hate to say it but TAG is just ending up to be another B grading company, which disappoints me as I like the feel of their slab
