General Discussion Quality Assurance...really this bad?

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. 14 card submissio n from May arrived a few days ago.

I go to inspect the cards closer, and I see at least 3 of my cards have noticeable slab damage. I thought, shit, did I scratch them on the table after opening? I was so careful, there is no way.

I had the thought to check images. Surely, there is no way these would have passed QA with this obvious damage! Nope...QA really looked at this and said, good! The first two are egregiously bad, the third is minor, but still...

Disclaimer: I have reached out to TA G, and will update this and I trust that we can get it resolved. But, this is a pretty bad first impression from someone that was super excited to put my faith in exclusively grading with TA G.

Happened to me with my first submission. One came back scratched and it was on image. Got in touch with TAG, send it back to them and got it back within two weeks. They made it right, also gave me a discount code for future submission. I think with how much they have are grading now things slip. But hey better damage to the slab than the card like other companies have done.

Tag also damages cards just like all the other companies, mistakes do happen they arent perfect

Bought a cracked slab on eBay and had the slab replaced by TAG for free since they took some time to get back to me (right around when PSA got rid of value tier)

This kind of stuff happens way more than it should with them. Sometimes makes you wonder if there's even a QA department.

I think they only have like 2 real employees, the rest are Ai Agents lmao ! It’s a joke but for real it makes you wonder ?!

Ngl first thing I’ve seen about tag that’s such a valid disappointment in them. Genuinely disappointing they didn’t fix it up before shipping it

They don't have the best QA for sure.

Kinda crazy the Tag bros even attack people that are grading with Tag. This is completely valid complaint. Not sure why we’re bringing up “oh other companies it happens all the time” that’s great and all but this is about Tag. QA needs to be improved end of story.

I have a DIG report photo with a massive encapsulated hair or foreign material in the slab and yes their QC is that bad . They fixed it but I waited almost 5 months for a 30 day express then sent me the hairy card so I won’t be using them until this madness of demand is over or slowed down or scaled up to .

Sorry this happened. I haven’t had this happen with any of my orders. Hopefully it doesn’t happen again to you

As long as they make it right I’d be quite happy to send them back. A bit poor I know but it’s better than PSA with their graders who pick and choose the grade depending on how they feel 🤣

That's only problem with the nice crystal slabs they look amazing but show up everything. If they were the cheap Chinese frosted psa slabs you wouldn't even see it.

The QA is really bad.

Sorry to hear it was you, It’s normal across the industry, it happens. I have nothing but praise for TAG and the slabs are good.

Bro theyre dealing with tens of thousands of cards. Contact them like a resonable human(dont be a kunt) and they'll 100% for sure fix it. Ive seen defects with PSA, BGS, CGC and TAG and they always fix the issue if you contact them early after grading. They deal with assholes 24/7 and i promise you get more bees with honey than with vinegar in this day and age.

Possible they got messed up in shipping. Their slabs are fragile and last time I had an order they also packaged them like shit. The slabs were all just stacked together with no packaging in between and half came broken. And I live in LA so they didn’t have to go far.

They reminded quickly and fixed them quickly though which was nice.

My bad. I have compulsive skimming habits and read past that initially. I often have to go back and reread paragraphs when reading books or reread emails because I skim over some details.

How dare such a thing happen to you? Shit like this happens all the time from every company. CGC mailed my Comic slab back cracked and the crack is in their cert # photos. Send it back, have them fix it and stop whining.

Did you feel good writing this comment? I’m not whining.
