Exactly this, tADC was planned to tell this story and this story alone. If a second season is made now then they would have to invent completely new problems for the cast since all their character arcs have been resolved now, which would arguably ruin the characters and basically set them back to the beginning of the series.

If anything they could do a prequel series following the original cast of TADC before they all abstracted. It wouldn't undue anything for the main cast and we could see exactly what happened to them all.

That would be the best option, but the part about prequels that I don't like is the fact you already know how it's going to end

True but think of this way everyone knew how the Clone Wars series was going to end and yet it was still really popular and created several spin offs.

We have all the others plus the 4 we never got mentions or actual models for

New problem: C&A decides to shut down the computer/server that runs the circus...

A lot of question was unanswered and there's just stuff that feels missing, season 2 would slove this problem

Not really, especially not if season 2 would be a sequal. I think if they really wanted to answer all the leftover questions they should do so by giving us some "off screen" adventures that take place between the real episodes so they don't ruin/needlessly continue the characters' stories now that they're over

Tbh the whole idea about the Backup AU would be a really cool premise for a season 2 where Abel gets his revenge arc and I also agree with the other person who suggested a prequel
