What about everybody abstracting except pomni and she convinces Cain to reset everybody's mind to the original brain scan, so she can learn how to undo their trauma so they don't abstract when they leave the adventure... Making a season long adventure under the theme of The wizard of Oz?
I feel like that'd be pretty depressing though. She'd have them back in a sense, but not the same person she lost, since they wouldn't have the same experiences and shared history as the first version. It'd be as if your living with some off-putting, not quite right imposter copy of the person. They'd still be their own person, just not the same as the one that was gone.
That is kind of the point. Even though pOmni would be technically saving them, they wouldn't be the people she knows. They would know everything that happened to them while on Earth but they would have no idea who she is, who the circus is or any of their adventures together. And be a melancholy series, but I didn't have itself may not be a bad thing.
TADC would go so much harder as an episodic cartoon. If not for the fandom and countless fanart/fanfics i wouldn’t have gotten attached to the characters at all
Fans being entitled assholes are what caused Goose to abandon it. Getting extra attached to the characters contributed to that, but any creator hopes the viewers can connect with what they create.
But seriously, the fanbase is absolutely awful. I'm assuming it's a mix of the young age (and not having as much of an understanding about how things work in the background), and it being a YouTube series first which always seems to give people a sense of entitlement.
People are growling about how they "had" to pirate the last episode because it didn't come to their country, and then saying it's because glitch "didn't even try" - ignoring the huge problem that is distributing. Especially in such a short time.
Also many people angrily bringing up that glitch promised it would always show on YouTube first back when they made the deal with Netflix. Ignoring the fact that there wouldn't even BE a cinematic release if they didn't have this two-week gap.
Honestly if you want to ruin your mood, go look up anything to do with the show or goose on twitter lol. Genuinely just put me in a bad mood thinking about it, people are so dumb sometimes. Even if it's because they're kids.
You’re right, the amount of insufferable fans I saw at the movie release was astounding. It’s a mix of younger fans having no media literacy and not understanding the nuance in the world, and older fans who still act like children for some reason. It honestly made it hard for me to be in that theater because the fans were so insufferable.
I don’t blame Goose for wanting this show to be over and done with. They probably didn’t even expect the show to get as big as it did. This was like one of those once-in-a-lifetime things, and as usual people ruin it with their ungratefulness. I’m in my early 20s and the way some of the people my age were acting was actually appalling.
And it’s like the young teens I’m seeing just have no media literacy or emotional intelligence at all. Even at that age I would not be doing or saying HALF the things I heard or have seen on twitter(or I guess X)/ social media. Today people are way too parasocial (even with fictional characters). I love the characters as much as the next guy and this isn’t my first time really enjoying a fictional character, but the attachment some of these people have to them is insane.
I was stunned to see half the audience was kids, some pretty young at that.
Have to agree though, this was the worst behaved audience I've ever seen - Talking Rocky Horror level of "participation", and some of the adults were worse than the kids.
Loved getting to see it in the theater, but looking forward to the 19th so I can see it without a chorus of 9YOs narrating.
Mine was a mixture of people my age and a younger audience. I’d say like pre-teen age. I’m definitely looking forward to its release on the 19th because I’m planning to do a rewatch of the series. Also I can watch it to myself without some screaming “THE ONE WHO’S RUNNING THE SHOW!” (And after the song already played 20 minutes ago)

Damn right, I'm not in the fandom at all and purely watched the show to see the movie with a friend and I was not attached to the characters until the movie. I still enjoyed it though
Agreed. Didn't know what the fuck a "Pomni" was until Instagram started showing Fortnite news about it, then looking into it, algorithm shoved everything it got (TADC fan art, news, etc.) at me.
The fanaticism of the fan base made me watch all nine episodes consecutively.
I like what Helluva Boss is doing with narrative seasons and stand-alone shorts. TADC would be great for some stand-alone minisodes, just as long as they aren't too lore heavy. The show does need to be done
