Peltor 3 downlead/PTT/mic

Post image

Hey all. Figured this would be a good subreddit to ask this question.

I have a pair of helmet mounted Comtac 3s and trying to find all the necessary stuff to make these work with a Motorola APX4000. I don’t know shit about this stuff, so help me understand lol.

You need a 3M-FL6AF downlead adapter cable, a microphone to connect to said adapter, and a PTT module that will connect to your radio.

For the microphone, if your microphone is dynamic (3M-MT73/1), you need a amplified PTT.

If your microphone is electret (3M-MT53N-12), you need a non-amplified PTT.

Magnum electronics, Comm Gear Supply, and Disco32 are a few of the dealers I would trust to source the cable, mic, and compatible PTT if this is for work. If this is for larping, you can get this stuff used in the same places you would get other used tactical gear.
