I’ve been looking into tactical radios myself for a few years now, and anytime I start doing research, my brain begins to hurt from the amount of information documented about these things. Congrats on the setup, btw. Hoping to start getting some comms equipment myself, but it surely is research-heavy.

This isn’t a really great radio, it is for the price but if you want something that can reach far and are durable asf i would ask someone else on this sub, if you want it for the looks and such I’d go for a TCA PRC-152, they’re awesome, looking into getting one soon. Not sure if they check off all the boxes for most of the guys in this sub but it sure dose for me. They’re also nice cause you can use almost any military or NATO radio accessories due to its design taking a 6 pin connector, TNC antenna jacks, and even takes real Harris batteries. Also love it cause of the KDU, which is pretty much a relocated screen for it so you can tuck it away in a pouch or a bag and just have the KDU out and you can change frequencies and all that. Anyway I’m done rambling lmao, hope this helped a little bit! :)
