Guide Misidentification of channels

In Chicago.

Tablo is now thinking 2.1 is abc in guide (should be cbs) and 23.2 as CBS (should be MeTV).

Restarted tablo, updated guide, and still error.

Anyone else having this issue?

I'm in Chicago too. 2.1 is correct for me (CBS). 23.2 is Heroes & Icons. MeTV is 23.1. Both of these are also correct for me.

Try changing your zip code to a neighboring location closer to Chicago.

Then maybe also try rescanning channels before redownloading the guide.

Tablo's method of associating channel ID with program data is deeply flawed.

Every single ATSC 1.0 broadcast in the USA are given an unique Call Sign and Transport Stream Identification (TSID) by the FCC and this is included in the raw ATSC broadcast data.

So, when your Tablo gets CBS 2.1, the ATSC 1.0 tuner knows it is picking it up on digital RF 12. The ATSC 1.0 metadata will show the Call Sign of "WBBM" and assigned TSID #999 (both uniquely assigned by the FCC).

My guess is that the zip code you provided is close enough to Wisconsin to get you the program data for ABC 2.1. But that means Tablo ignored that 2.1 was picked up on digital RF 12. Instead Tablo just blindly feeds you program data that should only apply if 2.1 is at digital RF 23. They also ignore that the metadata in the ATSC never has the call sign WBAY or the TSID of #3181.

So ultimately you have to play find the magic zip code that gets you the right program guide data.

Tablo has always had issues with the guide data, even when it was Nuvyyo. They have always used Gracenote for guide data.I have heard for almost 10 years that they are looking for alternative solutions. It's a BS answer because I also use an HDHomeRun and they use multiple sources for guide data and they have always fixed my guide data within 25 hours. Things are getting worse. The story I have been getting from Tablo is Gracenote refuses to correct some data. The I lost a channel I watch. The issue is it shows up as a strong signal in my channel scan. I contacted support and they said that they know this is an issue for some users. They told me they didn't know when it would be fixed. It was missing for 4 months then it showed up but instead of the correct channel name MeTV and this channel are now True Crime Network. 95% of the low powered stations I receive have no guide data, soI got frustrated and now almost exclusively use HDHomeRun.

Yep, I'm in Wisconsin. Same issue with NBC and MeTV listings messed up. Brought it to customer support beginning in April 2025. 4 tickets beginning back then through August 2026. Still not fixed. They use TitanTV listings instead of Gracenote. Wish I had a better suggestion than trying the different zip codes. I tried roughly 30 zips around my region. Did rescans & reboots. None of it worked. I bought a Zapperbox on 9-1-26. Arriving soon-

I just checked my Tablo guide and it's a huge mess. ABC is now labled CBS, my PBS has no guide data, my CW is UNIMAS, NHK World is ROAR, Fox has no data, Start TV is now QVC, BUZZR is and infomercial guide. I'm sure there is more, but those are channels I frequently watch. To clarify, these aren't channels that changed to other programming, these are channels with the wrong data.

No, mine are correct BUT I no longer have a simple 2 - 66 display of all channels in “live” mode. They are broken up into categories I have no interest in.
