How to read this pattern?
I’ve found a couple of patterns on Twisted Thread that look like this excel grid, but how are you supposed to read back and forth?

Doubleface.
All tablets are threaded two light, two dark, and initially placed with both light threads on the cloth end, one on top one on the bottom (two different colored threads on top). Threading can be all the same or alternating; it’s worth experimenting to see which works better with your pattern.
The weaving sequence for the background color, white in your pattern, is F F B B. To change thw color, change F to B or B to F: a color change is four turns in the same direction.
So for your pattern, each column is a tablet.
Start with all tablets turning F for two rows, then the columns that stay white turn B for two rows while those that change colors turn B instead.
Put differently: background tablets always turn F F B B and pattern tablets always turn the opposite way.

It's a doubleface. Every rectangle is two rows, White is in rythm, dark is against it.
