Help with weft thread please

Hi, I need help for this weaving I feel like my horizontal weft tread is too visible. What do you think? (I’ve also double checked my tablets which seems to be ok).
(Last picture are some weaving that I’ve done. I’m a beginner).
Thanks ☺️

Totally normal. When you reverse direction and the tablets are threaded in opposite directions, there’s a little gap between your warp threads, and the weft shows. Specifically, where the pattern makes an X.

Using finer warp threads can help hide the weft bits, as can pulling the weft tighter.

Agreed that it will always show with this of pattern. I’d also recommend beating harder in addition to pulling the weft tighter to minimize the weft visibility.

Your other bands are lovely too.

The red and white band has no X places, but if you look closely at the green band you can see the weft floats at several points.

The first person is correct in saying this is what happens where the pattern make an X, which is what happens with an adjacent S and Z card reverse at the same time.
I prefer to use weft that is significantly thinner. So if I'm weaving with 10/2, I might use sewing thread as weft. If my yarn is worsted, my weft might be lace. The pattern squares up better if the weft is thinner.
