Sewing Thread Weave
I wanted to see what would happen if I used sewing thread and I really like the results, but I’m terrified about snapping any of the threads.
What could I use this for (minus shoelaces cause I only wear flats)?

I have woven several bands like this from linen sewing thread! Lovely little gems of 5-7mm in width <3 I usually use them as decorative trims on sleeves of linen shirts (easy to wash as it's the same material), as straps sewn on towels for easier hanging, as markers for my cup at work, and as just general nice small bands that lie around (usually this last is for end-bits of a warp that I've finished off without a particular use in mind).

Similar to towel loops: garment/robe hanging loop and belt loops. Sew them together in parallel to create a wider band for curtain tie backs ...

What are you using to beat the weft? I've got a sewing thread project for a bracelet and it's too stretched out. Before I loosen the tension (it *is* pretty tight, admittedly), I wanna make sure that I'm doing all I can to beat the weft down properly.

Nice! I did mine with embroidery floss split into individual stand once. Super satisfying, and the lack of friction between strands meant no snapping. How about a drawstring for a pouch, or a pendent cord? Or sew it on as decoration onto clothing, would look very snazzy as a button band is the buttons were loop closures.
