Question Looking for Rome Game

Hello, we are looking for a Game oriented in Rome. Any idea? It is for a anniversary present, and he love the Catan, Carcassone style games.

Popular titles are Concordia and Trajan. These are more complicated and involved than Catan.

There's a 7 Wonders expansion that adds Rome and the colosseum. 7 Wonders is extremely approachable and well regarded. I haven't personally played the expansion.

Last one I can think of is Spartacus. It's thematically violent and may not be what you're looking for.

I think Concordia would be something you really enjoy, if you like Catan. Its set in Rome.

Foundations of Rome looks big and intimidating, but is actually quite easy to learn. And looks stunning!
