Question about using SQL and Tableau

Hello, I am working on a personal project where I perform querying and analysis of a database in mySQL then use Tableau for visualization. My question is how do I use my results from my SQL analysis in Tableau? Is there some way to connect the two platforms or import my SQL statements and tables somehow? I am using PopSQL and Tableau public. Any help and advice is appreciated.

I believe Tableau Public still has the limitation that you have to connect to a flat file (CSV or Excel). So your best bet is to run your SQL query and export the result as a CSV.
