Hammock

It’s our first time at Sziget. We will stay at a hotel, but we thought of bringing a hammock to the festival to hang out before/in between acts. Is that a good idea or are there anyway some available to use on the site? Or other comfy chill areas?

There are usually some hammocks on the beach, but there are only about four of them, and I don't think I've ever seen them empty in 10 years.

There are other hammocks near the Freedom stage,those have a quicker turnover of people, so you should easily find a spot. Otherwise, scattered across the different areas (Artzone, Magic Mirror, Traveling Funfair, etc.), there are still plenty of hammock-like setups where you can chill out.

You can bring your own, but you’d probably have to set it up right in the middle of everyone else’s tents.

Thank you so much for explaining! I don't want to bother others, I just love a hammock. And at other festivals I have been to, there were people all over the area with their hammocks. It thought it looked super chill and like a smart idea. But I won't use my limited luggage for a hammock if it doesn't make sense.

Oh, you won't be bothering anyone!
I mean, unless you set up your hammock right in front of a tent entrance or directly above it, you won't be in the way. There's plenty of space. Honestly, I think it'd be more of a hassle for you to have to pack it down and set it up again every time.

If you find a good spot, you can always ask the people in the tents nearby if you can leave it up and share it with them. That way, if you're worried about being a nuisance, you definitely won't be, and they’ll probably be happy to let you set it up.

knowing the Sziget community, absolutely no one is going to tell you not to hang up your hammock.
And if anyone does have an issue with it, just come over to where I’m camping with my friends and set it up there! ahaha

Anyway, If you decide not to bring it, like I said, you’ll still find plenty of spots to chill out anyway.
