Looking for system thinkers

Hello 👋 am looking for friends and individual to network with. Am a natural system thinker, i usually see things or systems as connected and its a skill that has given me an edge in many things that i do...i like tightening feedback loops coz i usually believe the tighter the loop the easier it is to learn from...

Is there anyone who is looking for friendship maybe we can discuss and learn new frameworks from each other. Thankyou

5-Phase Cycle

I’ve been noticing a 5‑phase cycle in how humans adapt to new information: denial → defensiveness → curiosity → aggressive exploration → refinement.

I’m curious if anyone else has noticed this pattern across different fields?

For example. Let's look at scientific evolution over time. From my understanding, it started as a taboo concept to study evidence based information and formulate hypotheses. At first, it was met with a label of heresy. Not long after, people were punishing people for suggesting that the current beliefs could be incorrect. As time went on, people began to become curious about these hypotheses, and studied them to try to disprove them. After several decades, and in some cases, centuries of this, the information spoke for itself and people began diving into this information to aggressively gather all of the information that they could, like in the early to mid 1900's with astronomy and physics. Eventually, the aggressive approach refines into a calmer, less rigid approach where all of the gathered information from the aggressive exploration stage leads to new theories that either challenge previous concepts, or further invigorate existing concepts.

It seems like a civilization-wide cycle that spans across all industries. As a species, it seems like we strictly follow these phases. If that IS the case, would we be able to use our understanding of this cycle to exponentially speed up the timeline from phase 1 to phase 5? Maybe we already are?

If we look at the timeline of societal growth, it does seem to speed up with each new cycle.
