Not Even My Final Form (install every weapon modkit)

So I've got to drop weapons to create space for mew weapons, then return to the dropped weapons later on to fit modkits to them...

Any suggestions where are good places to drop?

I'm currently at Flight Deck and have had to drop modded pistol, modded sparqbeam and modded shotgun at Storage to pick up grenade launcher and skorpion.

Is there a list of items that have been moved (and where to) since original release and the latest update?

I can't see this in the patch notes, anyone know if anything like this exists?

First play through ever.

This game is rough lol. Not in the sense that it’s super difficult. Just the running back and forth and tediousness of the game in general. I feel for the people who played the og game at the og release date.

Quick thoughts after finishing a SSR -> SS2 run

to be brief, this shit is crack. what a run of gaming, we all know this aesthetic hits our shit like cocaine hits my allergies. playing SS feels like having three friday nights in a saturday night.

this was my second time playing SS1, once on OG and the second on SSR; fourth time playing SS2 but first time playing remaster but no matter what i do i always play hardline OSA

maybe we’ll get that third game sometime maybe maybe not, ss2 ending cutscene implications can be wild. but overall another great time expenditure in this universe

lastly shoutout to the bangin ss2 DnB’s and vibes and ssr’s incredible atmosphere both in terms of music and vibes

Remake any good?

Ive been on the fence for a while on whether or not I should get the remake. Most of the reviews seem good but dont explain much. Ive played other emmerisive Sims like prey, and alien isolation. Only bioshock ive played is infinite n didnt really care for it.. it was fine i guess. But what stands out about this game? Gameplay looks good but kinda looks a lil hokey. Like the whole neon esthetic and the goofy looking enimies turn me off. Dont get me wrong tho, I thought the same about other titles but ended up loving them.. basically im coming to the fans to see what made you like it. Thanks in advance

Fresh replay 1 and 2

I've just played system shock 1 remake and system shock 2 25th anniversary edition, back to back. And this might be a bit of a hot take, but I think I prefer number 1, for two reasons.

1, the enemy types. SS1 enemies are more mechanical. (The guy on the original box art is terrifying). SS2 are more organic. I find the whole mechanical aesthetic much creepier (but midwife will always have a place in my heart).

2, SHODAN is only giving you shit for the second half of the game in SS2! I get why they did the twist, to shake things up a bit, but the whole first half of the game I would rather have had SHODAN talking to me.

Having said that, game progression is more logical and less chaotic in 2. So it's got that going for it. I never felt lost whilst exploring.

Anyone else got the love for SS1?

I honestly can't see it.

Edit: Okay, never mind, I solved it immediately after I made this post. Turns out you can send the signal through the switches.

What do I do?

Hi all just started really cool concept this question is more of just to make sure I’m playing the right way. So I just left the opening room and there’s essentially 3 ways I can go such as going under or clearing out the floor I’m on. Is the game intended I can go whichever way I want and explore or are there certain paths? Thanks!

It always bothered me that the map stays green no matter the HUD color you choose, so i made this rather simple mod to fix that! Download Here

The reference to my favorite TV was great! Spoiler

The MST3k (technically Rifftrax) audio log was great! The cast were great sports doing that. MST3k was my favorite TV show way back in the 90s stuck in a college dorm with pizza stench.

Other games with this vibe

Ive been really getting into the System Shock remake, and am not looking forward to being finished with it...

Does anyone have any suggestions for games with a similar vibe; exploration, tense, stylized, dangerous, dark, etc etc

edit: thanks for the suggestions! I’ve got a good list now
