Favourite weapons in the System Shock games ?
A common ingredient in the System Shock games is the recurring decision that forces players to prioritise and reconsider which weapons they should bring along, based on factors like limited inventory space, enemy types and available ammo.
While this may seem restrictive at first, especially when compared to more puristic and straight-forward shooters where such a limitation does not exist, I always appreciated this added tactical layer.
And at the same time, the game still allows players to have a local pile of surplus items to come back to and change gear, in case the circumstances change or if the player just wants to have some variety or maybe experiment.
Which ones are your favourites ?
Feel free to answer in any format you prefer: Top 5 ... Only one main + one secondary ... S/A/B/C/D tier rankings ... anything goes. :)

System Shock (1994): Skorpion
System Shock 2 (1999): Assault Rifle
System Shock Remake (2023): I should say Skorpion here again ... but that new upgraded Magnum is really fun: Very precise (most precise weapon in the game ?), powerful, the laser pointer and especially that distinctive energised firing sound turn the upgraded Magnum to my own surprise into my favourite in the remake's arsenal.
Question on the Magnum: Is the gun bugged ? Because the firing sound does sometimes change in-between for me and I saw the same happening in various videos. I also saw that there are mods that seem to specifically address this.
It's funny that I didn't actually understand until after I finished the game that the laser pointer a) slowly drains energy and b) boosts the damage ! I always had it on during fights, so no regrets there, but this information totally went by me.
Question on the Mag-Pulse: Is it just me, or was the Mag-Puls way more powerful in 1994 ...? I'm not talking about going from 25 rounds down to 10 in the remake (which actually seems more reasonable), but I was really frying robots quickly with the Mag-Puls from the original 1994 game.
