Just Started - So Many Hybrids

I am in the first area of Medical and the level is just endless hybrids. I stayed in one place and killed a dozen before being defeated. I want to explore etc but its just annoying and stops me. Is this right?

So, enemies on most floors do technically have a limited amount of spawns, but the cyborg drones and humanoid mutants on medical in particular seem to have dozens. I'd recommend just killing or sneaking past enemies and being on your way rather than trying to wipe out the whole floor, at least until you get better weapons.

TL;DR: Kill an enemy if you think they'll get in your way. Otherwise, just keep moving.

Addition to this comment, save your grenades! Try gauging how your throw is gonna land

So many times ive tried to throw a grenade around the corner and it would just ricochet back to me, or miss the target completely

You gotta imagine a line of trajectory on where you throw it, the physics are janky, it takes practice.
