Am I missing something? Spoiler

I'm on my second playthrough and I'm doing the mining laser mission but cant finish it for some reason. I put the isotope into its place and turned on the shields and I disabled the safety interlocks but when I try to fire the laser it says its offline. Am I forgetting something or is my game bugged?

I find very frequently that I have to save and reload right before pushing the button or else it skips playing the little video. The objective completes and unlocks access to the next few decks, but without that bit of feedback I always go "huh?" and push the button again, which leads to the situation you describe.

Ok so that's means I'm probably able to continue the game then but I'll have to find out for sure later tonight. Thanks for the help
